| Hebrews 13:2 | Forget not to show love unto strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. | Do not neglect to show kindness to strangers; for, in this way, some, without knowing it, have had angels as their guests. | of the hospitality be not forgetful, for through this unawares certain did entertain messengers; |

| Hebrews 13:14 | For we have not here an abiding city, but we seek after [the city] which is to come. | For we have no permanent city here, but we are longing for the city which is soon to be ours. | for we have not here an abiding city, but the coming one we seek; |
| Hebrews 13:15 | Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name. | Through Him, then, let us continually lay on the altar a sacrifice of praise to God, namely, the utterance of lips that give thanks to His Name. | through him, then, we may offer up a sacrifice of praise always to God, that is, the fruit of lips, giving thanks to His name; |

| Hebrews 13:17 | Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit [to them]: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this [were] unprofitable for you. | Obey your leaders and be submissive to them. For they are keeping watch over your souls as those who will have to give account; that they may do this with joy and not with lamentation. For that would be of no advantage to you. | Be obedient to those leading you, and be subject, for these do watch for your souls, as about to give account, that with joy they may do this, and not sighing, for this [is] unprofitable to you. |

| Hebrews 13:21 | make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen. | fully equip you with every grace that you may need for the doing of His will, producing in us that which will truly please Him through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory to the Ages of the Ages!
