Mark 7:1And there are gathered together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem, Then the Pharisees, and some of the scribes gathered together to him, having come from Jerusalem.Then came together to him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, who came from Jerusalem.
Mark 7:2and had seen that some of his disciples ate their bread with defiled, that is, unwashen, hands. Now when they saw some of his disciples eating bread with defiled, that is, unwashed, hands, they found fault.And when they saw some of his disciples eating bread with defiled (that is to say with unwashed) hands, they found fault.
Mark 7:3(For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands diligently, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders; (For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, don't eat unless they wash their hands and forearms, holding to the tradition of the elders.For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands often eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
Mark 7:4and [when they come] from the market-place, except they bathe themselves, they eat not; and many other things there are, which they have received to hold, washings of cups, and pots, and brasen vessels.) Mark 7:5And the Pharisees and the scribes ask him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with defiled hands? The Pharisees and the scribes asked him, "Why don't your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?"Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?
Mark 7:6And he said unto them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me. He answered them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'This people honors me with their lips, But their heart is far from me.He answered and said to them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Mark 7:7But in vain do they worship me, Teaching [as their] doctrines the precepts of men. But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'But, in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mark 7:8Ye leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men. "For you set aside the commandment of God, and hold tightly to the tradition of men the washing of pitchers and cups, and you do many other such things."For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mark 7:9And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition. He said to them, "Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.And he said to them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition,
Mark 7:10For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death: For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother;' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, Whoever curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
Mark 7:11but ye say, If a man shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, Given [to God]; But you say, 'If a man will tell his father or his mother, "Whatever you might have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, given to God;"'But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
Mark 7:12ye no longer suffer him to do aught for his father or his mother; and you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother,And ye suffer him no more to do aught for his father or his mother;
Mark 7:13making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do. making void the word of God by your tradition, which you have handed down. You do many things like this."Making the word of God of no effect through your traditions, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do.
Mark 7:14And he called to him the multitude again, and said unto them, Hear me all of you, and understand: He called all the multitude to himself, and said to them, "Hear me, all of you, and understand.And when he had called all the people to him, he said to them, Hearken to me every one of you, and understand.
Mark 7:15there is nothing from without the man, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man. There is nothing from outside of the man, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man.There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him, can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
Mark 7:16[If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear.] If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!"If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 7:17And when he was entered into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked of him the parable. Mark 7:18And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Perceive ye not, that whatsoever from without goeth into the man, [it] cannot defile him; He said to them, "Are you so without understanding also? Don't you perceive that whatever goes into the man from outside can't defile him,And he saith to them, Are ye so void of understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him.
Mark 7:19because it goeth not into his heart, but into his belly, and goeth out into the draught? [This he said], making all meats clean. because it doesn't go into his heart, but into his belly, and into the latrine, thus making all foods clean?"Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all kinds of food.
Mark 7:20And he said, That which proceedeth out of the man, that defileth the man. He said, "That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man.And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

But Jesus said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."But Jesus said to her, Let the children first be satisfied: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to the dogs.
Mark 7:28But she answered and saith unto him, Yea, Lord; even the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. But she answered him, "Yes, Lord. For even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."And she answered and said to him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crums.
Mark 7:29And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the demon is gone out of thy daughter. He said to her, "For this saying, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter."And he said to her, For this saying, depart; the demon is gone out of thy daughter.
Mark 7:30And she went away unto her house, and found the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out. She went away to her house, and found the child laying on the bed, with the demon gone out.And when she had come to her house, she found the demon had gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
Mark 7:31And again he went out from the borders of Tyre, and came through Sidon unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the borders of Decapolis. Mark 7:32And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to lay his hand upon him. Mark 7:36And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it. Mark 7:37And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak. He makes even the deaf hear, and the mute speak!"And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
