| Genesis 23:1 | And the life of Sarah was a hundred and seven and twenty years. These were the years of the life of Sarah. | Sarah lived one hundred twenty-seven years. These were the years of Sarah's life. | And the life of Sarah is a hundred and twenty and seven years years of the life of Sarah; |
| Genesis 23:2 | And Sarah died in Kiriath-arba (the same is Hebron), in the land of Canaan. And Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. | Sarah died in Kiriath-arba (the same is Hebron), in the land of Canaan. For the full price let him give it to me in the midst of you for a possession of a burying-place. | that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in the end of his field. | Genesis 23:11 | Nay, my lord, hear me. The field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee. In the presence of the children of my people give I it thee. Bury thy dead. | "No, my lord, hear me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of the children of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead." | `Nay, my lord, hear me: the field I have given to thee, and the cave that [is] in it, to thee I have given it; before the eyes of the sons of my people I have given it to thee bury thy dead.` |

Take it from me, and I will bury my dead there." | and speaketh unto Ephron in the ears of the people of the land, saying, `Only if thou wouldst hear me I have given the money of the field accept from me, and I bury my dead there.` |

| Genesis 23:15 | My lord, hearken unto me. A piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that betwixt me and thee? Bury therefore thy dead. | "My lord, listen to me. What is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver between me and you? Therefore bury your dead." | `My lord, hear me: the land four hundred shekels of silver; between me and thee, what [is] it? thy dead bury.` |

And Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current [money] with the merchant. | Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants' standard. | And Abraham hearkeneth unto Ephron, and Abraham weigheth to Ephron the silver which he hath spoken of in the ears of the sons of Heth, four hundred silver shekels, passing with the merchant. |
