Acts 2:1And when the day of Pentecost was now come, they were all together in one place. And in the day of the Pentecost being fulfilled, they were all with one accord at the same place,And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place:
Acts 2:2And suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. and there came suddenly out of the heaven a sound as of a bearing violent breath, and it filled all the house where they were sitting,And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3And there appeared unto them tongues parting asunder, like as of fire; and it sat upon each one of them. and there appeared to them divided tongues, as it were of fire; it sat also upon each one of them,And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them:
Acts 2:4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, according as the Spirit was giving them to declare.And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak.
Acts 2:5Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation of those under the heaven,Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Acts 2:6And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speaking in his own language. and the rumour of this having come, the multitude came together, and was confounded, because they were each one hearing them speaking in his proper dialect,And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue.
Acts 2:7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying, Behold, are not all these that speak Galilaeans? and they were all amazed, and did wonder, saying one unto another, `Lo, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And they were all amazed, and wondered, saying: Behold, are not all these, that speak, Galileans?
Acts 2:8And how hear we, every man in our own language wherein we were born? and how do we hear, each in our proper dialect, in which we were born?And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born?

Acts 2:10in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Phrygia also, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya, that [are] along Cyrene, and the strangers of Rome, both Jews and proselytes,Phrygia, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome,
Acts 2:11Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our tongues the mighty works of God. Cretes and Arabians, we did hear them speaking in our tongues the great things of God.`Jews also, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians: we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.
Acts 2:12And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, What meaneth this? And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one unto another, `What would this wish to be?`And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this?
Acts 2:13But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine. and others mocking said, `They are full of sweet wine;`But others mocking, said: These men are full of new wine.
Acts 2:14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, [saying], Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words. and Peter having stood up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and declared to them, `Men, Jews! and all those dwelling in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and harken to my sayings,But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them: Ye men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and with your ears receive my words.
Acts 2:15For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day. for these are not drunken, as ye take it up, for it is the third hour of the day.For these are not drunk, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day:
Acts 2:16but this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel: `But this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel:But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel:
Acts 2:17And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
Acts 2:18Yea and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy. and also upon My men-servants, and upon My maid-servants, in those days, I will pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy;And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy.
Acts 2:19And I will show wonders in the heaven above, And signs on the earth beneath; Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: and I will give wonders in the heaven above, and signs upon the earth beneath blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke,And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke.
Acts 2:20The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the day of the Lord come, That great and notable [day]. the sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the day of the Lord the great and illustrious;The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord come.
Acts 2:21And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. and it shall be, every one whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, he shall be saved.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
Acts 2:22Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God unto you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know; `Men, Israelites! hear these words, Jesus the Nazarene, a man approved of God among you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs, that God did through him in the midst of you, according as also ye yourselves have known;Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him, in the midst of you, as you also know:
Acts 2:23him, being delivered up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye by the hand of lawless men did crucify and slay: this one, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, being given out, having taken by lawless hands, having crucified ye did slay;This same being delivered up, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you by the hands of wicked men have crucified and slain.
Acts 2:24whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. whom God did raise up, having loosed the pains of the death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it,Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it.
Acts 2:25For David saith concerning him, I beheld the Lord always before my face; For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: for David saith in regard to him: I foresaw the Lord always before me because He is on my right hand that I may not be moved;For David saith concerning him: I foresaw the Lord before my face: because he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved.
Acts 2:26Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope: because of this was my heart cheered, and my tongue was glad, and yet my flesh also shall rest on hope,For this my heart hath been glad, and any tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Acts 2:27Because thou wilt not leave my soul unto Hades, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption. because Thou wilt not leave my soul to hades, nor wilt Thou give Thy Kind One to see corruption;Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.
Acts 2:28Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance. Thou didst make known to me ways of life, Thou shalt fill me with joy with Thy countenance.Thou hast made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Acts 2:29Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. `Men, brethren! it is permitted to speak with freedom unto you concerning the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us unto this day;Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David; that he died, and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present day.
Acts 2:30Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set [one] upon his throne; a prophet, therefore, being, and knowing that with an oath God did swear to him, out of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Christ, to sit upon his throne,Whereas therefore he was a prophet, and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne.
Acts 2:31he foreseeing [this] spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. having foreseen, he did speak concerning the rising again of the Christ, that his soul was not left to hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption.
Acts 2:32This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. `This Jesus did God raise up, of which we are all witnesses;This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses.
Acts 2:33Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear. at the right hand then of God having been exalted also the promise of the Holy Spirit having received from the Father he was shedding forth this, which now ye see and hear;Being exalted therefore by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this which you see and hear.
Acts 2:34For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, for David did not go up to the heavens, and he saith himself: The Lord saith to my lord, Sit thou at my right hand,For David ascended not into heaven; but he himself said: The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand,
Acts 2:35Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet. till I make thy foes thy footstool;Until I make thy enemies thy footstool.
Acts 2:36Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified. assuredly, therefore, let all the house of Israel know, that both Lord and Christ did God make him this Jesus whom ye did crucify.`Therefore let all the house of Israel know most certainly, that God hath made both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus, whom you have crucified.
Acts 2:37Now when they heard [this,] they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do? And having heard, they were pricked to the heart; they say also to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles, `What shall we do, men, brethren?`Now when they had heard these things, they had compunction in their heart, and said to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles: What shall we do, men and brethren?
Acts 2:38And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. and Peter said unto them, `Reform, and be baptized each of you on the name of Jesus Christ, to remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him. for to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all those afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.`For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:40And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation. Also with many more other words he was testifying and exhorting, saying, `Be saved from this perverse generation;`And with very many other words did he testify and exhort them, saying: Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
Acts 2:41They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added [unto them] in that day about three thousand souls. then those, indeed, who did gladly receive his word were baptized, and there were added on that day, as it were, three thousand souls,They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
Acts 2:42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers. and they were continuing stedfastly in the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of the bread, and the prayers.And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. And fear came on every soul, many wonders also and signs were being done through the apostles,And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all.
Acts 2:44And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and all those believing were at the same place, and had all things common,And all they that believed, were together, and had all things common.
Acts 2:45and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need. and the possessions and the goods they were selling, and were parting them to all, according as any one had need.Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need.
Acts 2:46And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, Daily also continuing with one accord in the temple, breaking also at every house bread, they were partaking of food in gladness and simplicity of heart,And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;
Acts 2:47praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved. praising God, and having favour with all the people, and the Lord was adding those being saved every day to the assembly.Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
