Numbers 10:1And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
Numbers 10:2Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them: and thou shalt use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps. `Make to thee two trumpets of silver; beaten work thou dost make them, and they have been to thee for the convocation of the company, and for the journeying of the camps;Make thee two trumpets of beaten silver, wherewith thou mayest call together the multitude when the camp is to be removed.
Numbers 10:3And when they shall blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves unto thee at the door of the tent of meeting. and they have blown with them, and all the company have met together unto thee, unto the opening of the tent of meeting.And when thou shalt sound the trumpets, all the multitude shall gather unto thee to the door of the tabernacle of the covenant.
Numbers 10:4And if they blow but one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. And if with one they blow, then have the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, met together unto thee;If thou sound but once, the princes and the heads of the multitude of Israel shall come to thee.
Numbers 10:5And when ye blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey. `And ye have blown a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed.But if the sound of the trumpets be longer, and with interruptions, they that are on the east side, shall first go forward.
Numbers 10:6And when ye blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. `And ye have blown a second shout, and the camps which are encamping southward have journeyed; a shout they blow for their journeys.And at the second sounding and like noise of the trumpet, they who lie on the south side shall take up their tents. And after this manner shall the rest do, when the trumpets shall sound for a march.
Numbers 10:7But when the assembly is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. `And in the assembling of the assembly ye blow, and do not shout;But when the people is to be gathered together, the sound of the trumpets shall be plain, and they shall not make a broken sound.
Numbers 10:8And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a statute for ever throughout your generations. and sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been to you for a statute age-during to your generations.And the sons of Aaron the priest shall sound the trumpets: and this shall be an ordinance for ever in your generations.
Numbers 10:9And when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. `And when ye go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then ye have shouted with the trumpets, and ye have been remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye have been saved from your enemies.If you go forth to war out of your land against the enemies that fight against you, you shall sound aloud with the trumpets, and there shall be a remembrance of you before the Lord your God, that you may be delivered out of the hands of your enemies.
Numbers 10:10Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am Jehovah your God. `And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed seasons, and in the beginnings of your months, ye have blown also with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings, and they have been to you for a memorial before your God; I, Jehovah, [am] your God.`If at any time you shall have a banquet, end on your festival days, and on the first days of your months, you shall sound the trumpets over the holocausts, and the sacrifices of peace offerings, that they may be to you for a remembrance of your God. I am the Lord your God.
Numbers 10:11And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony. And it cometh to pass in the second year, in the second month, in the twentieth of the month the cloud hath gone up from off the tabernacle of the testimony,The second year, in the second month, the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the covenant.
Numbers 10:12And the children of Israel set forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran. and the sons of Israel journey in their journeyings from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud doth tabernacle in the wilderness of Paran;And the children of Israel marched by their troops from the desert of Sinai, and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Pharan.
Numbers 10:13And they first took their journey according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses. and they journey at first, by the command of Jehovah, in the hand of Moses.And the first went forward according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Numbers 10:14And in the first [place] the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. And the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah journeyeth in the first [place], by their hosts, and over its host [is] Nahshon son of Amminadab.The sons of Juda by their troops: whose prince was Nahasson the son of Aminadab.
Numbers 10:15And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar [is] Nathaneel son of Zuar.In the tribe of the sons of Issachar, the prince was Nathanael the son of Suar.
Numbers 10:16And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun [is] Eliab son of Helon;In the tribe of Zabulon, the prince was Eliab the son of Helon.
Numbers 10:17And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bare the tabernacle, set forward. And the tabernacle hath been taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle.And the tabernacle was taken down, and the sons of Gerson and Merari set forward, bearing it.
Numbers 10:18And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur. And the standard of the camp of Reuben hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host [is] Elizur son of Shedeur.And the sons of Ruben also marched, by their troops and ranks, whose prince was Helisur the son of Sedeur.
Numbers 10:19And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon [is] Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.And in the tribe of Simeon, the prince was Salamiel the son of Surisaddai.
Numbers 10:20And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad [is] Eliasaph son of Deuel;And in the tribe of Cad, the prince was Eliasaph the son of Duel.
Numbers 10:21And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and [the others] did set up the tabernacle against their coming. And the Kohathites have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle, and the [others] have raised up the tabernacle until their coming in.Then the Caathites also marched carrying the sanctuary. So long was the tabernacle carried, till they same to the place of setting it up.
Numbers 10:22And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud. And the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host [is] Elishama son of Ammihud.The sons of Ephraim also moved their camp by their troops, in whose army the prince was Elisama the son of Ammiud.
Numbers 10:23And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh [is] Gamalial son of Pedahzur.And in the tribe of the sons of Manasses, the prince was Gamaliel the son of Phadassur.
Numbers 10:24And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin [is] Abidan son of Gideoni.And in the tribe of Benjamin, the prince was Abidan the son of Gedeon.
Numbers 10:25And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. And the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan hath journeyed (rearward to all the camps), by their hosts, and over its host [is] Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.The last of all the camp marched the sons of Dan by their troops, in whose army the prince was Ahiezer the son of Ammisaddai.
Numbers 10:26And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher [is] Pagiel son of Ocran.And in the tribe of the sons of Aser, the prince was Phegiel the son of Ochran.
Numbers 10:27And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali [is] Ahira son of Enan.And in the tribe of the sons of Nephtali, the prince was Ahira the son of Enan.
Numbers 10:28Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their hosts; and they set forward. These [are] journeyings of the sons of Israel by their hosts and they journey.This was the order of the camps, and marches of the children of Israel by their troops, when they set forward.
Numbers 10:29And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel. And Moses saith to Hobab son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses, `We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah hath said, I give it to you; go with us, and we have done good to thee; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.`And Moses said to Hobab the son of Raguel the Madianite, his kinsman: We are going towards the place which the Lord will give us: come with us, that we may do thee good : for the Lord hath promised good things to Israel.
Numbers 10:30And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred. And he saith unto him, `I do not go; but unto my land and unto my kindred do I go.`But he answered him: I will not go with thee, but I will return to my country, wherein I was born.
Numbers 10:31And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be to us instead of eyes. And he saith, `I pray thee, forsake us not, because thou hast known our encamping in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us for eyes;And he said: Do not leave us: for thou knowest in what places we should encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be our guide.
Numbers 10:32And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what good soever Jehovah shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee. and it hath come to pass when thou goest with us, yea, it hath come to pass that good which Jehovah doth kindly with us it we have done kindly to thee.`And if thou comest with us, we will give thee what is the best of the riches which the Lord shall deliver to us.
Numbers 10:33And they set forward from the mount of Jehovah three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting-place for them. And they journey from the mount of Jehovah a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is journeying before them the journey of three days, to spy out for them a resting-place;So they marched from the mount of the Lord three days' journey, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them, for three days providing a place for the camp.
Numbers 10:34And the cloud of Jehovah was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp. and the cloud of Jehovah [is] on them by day, in their journeying from the camp.The cloud also of the Lord was over them by day when they marched.
Numbers 10:35And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, O Jehovah, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. And it cometh to pass in the journeying of the ark, that Moses saith, `Rise, O Jehovah, and Thine enemies are scattered, and those hating Thee flee from Thy presence.`And when the ark was lifted up, Moses said: Arise, O Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered, and let them that hate thee, flee from before thy face.
Numbers 10:36And when it rested, he said, Return, O Jehovah, unto the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel. And in its resting he saith, `Return, O Jehovah, [to] the myriads, the thousands of Israel.`And when it was set down, he said: Return, O Lord, to the multitude of the host of Israel.
