Matthew 17:6 | And at these words the disciples went down on their faces in great fear. | And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. | And the disciples hearing, fell upon their face, and were very much afraid. |

Matthew 17:11 | And in answer he said, Elijah truly has to come and put all things right: | And he answered and said, Elijah indeed cometh, and shall restore all things: | But he answering, said to them: Elias indeed shall come, and restore all things. |
Matthew 17:12 | But I say to you that Elijah has come, and they had no knowledge of him, but did to him whatever they were pleased to do; the same will the Son of man undergo at their hands. | but I say unto you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him whatsoever they would. Even so shall the Son of man also suffer of them. | But I say to you, that Elias is already come, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they had a mind. So also the Son of man shall suffer from them. |

Matthew 17:14 | And when they came to the people, a man went down on his knees to him, saying, | And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a man, kneeling to him, saying, | And when he was come to the multitude, there came to him a man falling down on his knees before him, saying: Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic, and suffereth much: for he falleth often into the fire, and often into the water. |
Matthew 17:15 | Lord have mercy on my son: for he is off his head, and is in great pain; and frequently he goes falling into the fire, and frequently into the water. | Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is epileptic, and suffereth grievously; for oft-times he falleth into the fire, and off-times into the water. | And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. |
Matthew 17:16 | And I took him to your disciples, and they were not able to make him well. | And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. | Then Jesus answered and said: O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. |
Matthew 17:17 | And Jesus, answering, said, O false and foolish generation, how long will I be with you? how long will I put up with you? let him come here to me. | And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him hither to me. | And Jesus rebuked him, and the devil went out of him, and the child was cured from that hour. |
Matthew 17:18 | And Jesus gave orders to the unclean spirit, and it went out of him: and the boy was made well from that hour. | And Jesus rebuked him; and the demon went out of him: and the boy was cured from that hour. | Then came the disciples to Jesus secretly, and said: Why could not we cast him out? |
Matthew 17:19 | Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, Why were we not able to send it out? | Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out? | Jesus said to them: Because of your unbelief. For, amen I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove from hence hither, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. |
Matthew 17:20 | And he says to them, Because of your little faith: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Be moved from this place to that; and it will be moved; and nothing will be impossible to you. | And he saith unto them, Because of your little faith: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. | But this kind is not cast out but by prayer and fasting. |

And they were troubled exceedingly. |
Matthew 17:23 | And they will put him to death, and the third day he will come again from the dead. And they were very sad. | and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised up. And they were exceeding sorry. | And when they were come to Capharnaum, they that recieved the didrachmas, came to Peter and said to him: Doth not your master pay the didrachmas? |
Matthew 17:24 | And when they had come to Capernaum, those who took the Temple tax came to Peter and said, Does not your master make payment of the Temple tax? | And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your teacher pay the half-shekel? | He said: Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying: What is thy opinion, Simon? The kings of the earth, of whom do they receive tribute or custom? of their own children, or of strangers? |
Matthew 17:25 | He says, Yes. And when he came into the house, Jesus said to him, What is your opinion, Simon? from whom do the kings of the earth get payment or tax? from their sons or from other people? | He saith, Yea. And when he came into the house, Jesus spake first to him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers? | And he said: Of strangers. Jesus said to him: Then the children are free. |
Matthew 17:26 | And when he said, From other people, Jesus said to him, Then are the sons free. | And when he said, From strangers, Jesus said unto him, Therefore the sons are free. | But that we may not scandalize them, go to the sea, and cast in a hook: and that fish which shall first come up, take: and when thou hast opened its mouth, thou shalt find a stater: take that, and give it to them for me and thee. |
Matthew 17:27 | But, so that we may not be a cause of trouble to them, go to the sea, and let down a hook, and take the first fish which comes up; and in his mouth you will see a bit of money: take that, and give it to them for me and you. | But, lest we cause them to stumble, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a shekel: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. | |
