| Titus 3:1 | Make clear to them that they are to put themselves under rulers and authorities, to do what they are ordered, to be ready for every good work, | Put them in mind to be in subjection to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work, | Remind people that they must submit to the rulers who are in authority over them; that they must obey the magistrates, be prepared for every right action, |
| Titus 3:2 | To say no evil of any man, not to be fighters, to give way to others, to be gentle in behaviour to all men. | to speak evil of no man, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all meekness toward all men. | not speak evil of any one, nor be contentious, but yield unselfishly to others and constantly manifest a forgiving spirit towards all men. |

These things are good and profitable unto men: | This is a faithful saying, and on these various points I would have you insist strenuously, in order that those who have their faith fixed on God may be careful to set an example of good actions. For these are not only good in themselves, but are also useful to mankind. |
| Titus 3:9 | But have nothing to do with foolish questionings, and lists of generations, and fights and arguments about the law; for they are of no profit and foolish. | but shun foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strifes, and fightings about law; for they are unprofitable and vain. | But hold yourself aloof from foolish controversies and pedigrees and discussions and wrangling about the Law, for they are useless and vain. |

| Titus 3:11 | Clearly he is in error and a sinner, being self-judged. | knowing that such a one is perverted, and sinneth, being self-condemned. | for, as you know, a man of that description has turned aside from the right path and is a sinner self-condemned. |
| Titus 3:12 | When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis: for it is my purpose to be there for the winter. | When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, give diligence to come unto me to Nicopolis: for there I have determined to winter. | After I have sent Artemas or Tychicus to you, lose no time in joining me at Nicopolis; for I have decided to pass the winter there. |
