| James 4:1 | What is the cause of wars and fighting among you? is it not in your desires which are at war in your bodies? | Whence [come] wars and whence [come] fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your pleasures that war in your members? | Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members? |
| James 4:2 | You are burning with desire, and have not your desire, so you put men to death; you are full of envy, and you are not able to get your desire, so you are fighting and making war; you have not your desire, because you do not make request for it. | Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and covet, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; ye have not, because ye ask not. | You lust, and don't have. It is a mist, which is seen for a little time and then is gone. | whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. What is your life?
