| Luke 17:1 | And he said to his disciples, It is necessary for causes of trouble to come about, but unhappy is he by whom they come. | And he said to his disciples, It cannot be but that offences come, but woe [to him] by whom they come! | And he said unto his disciples, It is impossible but that occasions of stumbling should come; but woe unto him, through whom they come! |
| Luke 17:2 | It would be well for him if a great stone was put round his neck and he was dropped into the sea, before he made trouble for any of these little ones. | It would be [more] profitable for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should be a snare to one of these little ones. | It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble. |

| Luke 17:9 | Does he give praise to the servant because he did what was ordered? | Is he thankful to the bondman because he has done what was ordered? I judge not. | Doth he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded? |
| Luke 17:10 | In the same way, when you have done all the things which are given you to do, say, There is no profit in us, for we have only done what we were ordered to do. | Thus *ye* also, when ye shall have done all things that have been ordered you, say, We are unprofitable bondmen; we have done what it was our duty to do. | Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do. |
