Acts 2:1And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were all together in one place.And when the day of Pentecost was now accomplishing, they were all together in one place.And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place:
Acts 2:2And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rushing of a violent wind, and all the house where they were was full of it.And there came suddenly a sound out of heaven as of a violent impetuous blowing, and filled all the house where they were sitting.And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3And they saw tongues, like flames of fire, coming to rest on every one of them.And there appeared to them parted tongues, as of fire, and it sat upon each one of them.And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them:
Acts 2:4And they were all full of the Holy Spirit, and were talking in different languages, as the Spirit gave them power.And they were all filled with [the] Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak.
Acts 2:5Now there were living at Jerusalem, Jews, God-fearing men, from every nation under heaven.Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, pious men, from every nation of those under heaven.Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Acts 2:6And when this sound came to their ears, they all came together, and were greatly surprised because every man was hearing the words of the disciples in his special language.But the rumour of this having spread, the multitude came together and were confounded, because each one heard them speaking in his own dialect.And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue.
Acts 2:7And they were full of wonder and said, Are not all these men Galilaeans?And all were amazed and wondered, saying, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans?And they were all amazed, and wondered, saying: Behold, are not all these, that speak, Galileans?
Acts 2:8And how is it that every one of us is hearing their words in the language which was ours from our birth?and how do *we* hear [them] each in our own dialect in which we have been born,And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born?
Acts 2:9Men of Parthia, Media, and Elam, and those living in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, and Judaea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
Acts 2:10In Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and those who have come from Rome, Jews by birth and others who have become Jews,both Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya which adjoin Cyrene, and the Romans sojourning [here], both Jews and proselytes,Phrygia, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome,
Acts 2:11Men of Crete and Arabia, to all of us they are talking in our different languages, of the great works of God.Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the great things of God?Jews also, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians: we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.
Acts 2:12And they were all surprised and in doubt saying to one another, What is the reason of this?And they were all amazed and in perplexity, saying one to another, What would this mean?And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this?
Acts 2:13But others, making sport of them, said, They are full of new wine.But others mocking said, They are full of new wine.But others mocking, said: These men are full of new wine.
Acts 2:14But Peter, getting up, with the eleven, said in a loud voice, O men of Judaea, and all you who are living in Jerusalem, take note of this and give ear to my words.But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke forth to them, Men of Judaea, and all ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give heed to my words:But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them: Ye men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and with your ears receive my words.
Acts 2:15For these men are not overcome with wine, as it seems to you, for it is only the third hour of the day;for these are not full of wine, as *ye* suppose, for it is the third hour of the day;For these are not drunk, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day:
Acts 2:16But this is the thing which was said by the prophet Joel;but this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel,But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel:
Acts 2:17And it will come about, in the last days, says God, that I will send out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will be prophets, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams:And it shall be in the last days, saith God, [that] I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your elders shall dream with dreams;And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
Acts 2:18And on my men-servants and my women-servants I will send my Spirit, and they will be prophets.yea, even upon my bondmen and upon my bondwomen in those days will I pour out of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy.
Acts 2:19And wonders will be seen in heaven, and signs on the earth, blood and fire and smoke:And I will give wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke.
Acts 2:20The sun will become dark and the moon will be turned to blood, before that great day of the Lord comes in glory:the sun shall be changed to darkness and the moon to blood, before the great and gloriously appearing day of [the] Lord come.The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord come.
Acts 2:21And whoever makes his prayer to the Lord will have salvation.And it shall be that whosoever shall call upon the name of [the] Lord shall be saved.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
Acts 2:22Men of Israel, give ear to these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man who had the approval of God, as was made clear to you by the great works and signs and wonders which God did by him among you, as you yourselves have knowledge,Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazaraean, a man borne witness to by God to you by works of power and wonders and signs, which God wrought by him in your midst, as yourselves knowYe men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him, in the midst of you, as you also know:
Acts 2:23Him, when he was given up, by the decision and knowledge of God, you put to death on the cross, by the hands of evil men:him, given up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye, by [the] hand of lawless [men], have crucified and slain.This same being delivered up, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you by the hands of wicked men have crucified and slain.
Acts 2:24But God gave him back to life, having made him free from the pains of death because it was not possible for him to be overcome by it.Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death, inasmuch as it was not possible that he should be held by its power;Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it.
Acts 2:25For David said of him, I saw the Lord before my face at all times, for he is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved:for David says as to him, I foresaw the Lord continually before me, because he is at my right hand that I may not be moved.For David saith concerning him: I foresaw the Lord before my face: because he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved.
Acts 2:26And for this cause my heart was glad and my tongue full of joy, and my flesh will be resting in hope:Therefore has my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted; yea more, my flesh also shall dwell in hope,For this my heart hath been glad, and any tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Acts 2:27For you will not let my soul be in hell and you will not give up your Holy One to destruction.for thou wilt not leave my soul in hades, nor wilt thou give thy gracious one to see corruption.Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.
Acts 2:28You have made me see the ways of life; I will be full of joy when I see your face.Thou hast made known to me [the] paths of life, thou wilt fill me with joy with thy countenance.Thou hast made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Acts 2:29My brothers, I may say to you openly that David came to his death, and was put in the earth, and his resting-place is with us today.Brethren, let it be allowed to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David, that he has both died and been buried, and his monument is amongst us unto this day.Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David; that he died, and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present day.
Acts 2:30But being a prophet, and having in mind the oath which God had given to him, that of the fruit of his body one would take his place as a king,Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, of the fruit of his loins to set upon his throne;Whereas therefore he was a prophet, and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne.
Acts 2:31He, having knowledge of the future, was talking of the coming again of Christ from the dead, that he was not kept in hell and his body did not see destruction.he, seeing [it] before, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither has he been left in hades nor his flesh seen corruption.Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption.
Acts 2:32This Jesus God has given back to life, of which we all are witnesses.This Jesus has God raised up, whereof all *we* are witnesses.This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses.
Acts 2:33And so, being lifted up to the right hand of God, and having the Father's word that the Holy Spirit would come, he has sent this thing, which now you see and have knowledge of.Having therefore been exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which *ye* behold and hear.Being exalted therefore by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this which you see and hear.
Acts 2:34For David has not gone up into heaven, but says, himself, The Lord said to my Lord, Be seated at my right hand,For David has not ascended into the heavens, but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit at my right handFor David ascended not into heaven; but he himself said: The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand,
Acts 2:35Till I put all those who are against you under your feet.until I have put thine enemies [to be] the footstool of thy feet.Until I make thy enemies thy footstool.
Acts 2:36For this reason, let all Israel be certain that this Jesus, whom you put to death on the cross, God has made Lord and Christ.Let the whole house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him, this Jesus whom *ye* have crucified, both Lord and Christ.Therefore let all the house of Israel know most certainly, that God hath made both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus, whom you have crucified.
Acts 2:37Now when these words came to their ears their hearts were troubled, and they said to Peter and the other Apostles, Brothers, what are we to do?And having heard [it] they were pricked in heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, What shall we do, brethren?Now when they had heard these things, they had compunction in their heart, and said to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles: What shall we do, men and brethren?
Acts 2:38And Peter said, Let your hearts be changed, every one of you, and have baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will have the Holy Spirit given to you.And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39For the word of God is for you and for your children and for all those who are far off, even all those who may be marked out by the Lord our God.For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all who [are] afar off, as many as [the] Lord our God may call.For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:40And with more such words he gave his witness, offering them salvation and saying, Come out from this evil generation.And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.And with very many other words did he testify and exhort them, saying: Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
Acts 2:41Then those who gave hearing to his words had baptism: and about three thousand souls were joined to them that day.Those then who had accepted his word were baptised; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
Acts 2:42And they kept their attention fixed on the Apostles' teaching and were united together in the taking of broken bread and in prayer.And they persevered in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles, in breaking of bread and prayers.And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:43But fear came on every soul: and all sorts of wonders and signs were done by the Apostles.And fear was upon every soul, and many wonders and signs took place through the apostles' means.And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all.
Acts 2:44And all those who were of the faith kept together, and had all things in common;And all that believed were together, and had all things common,And all they that believed, were together, and had all things common.
Acts 2:45And exchanging their goods and property for money, they made division of it among them all, as they had need.and sold their possessions and substance, and distributed them to all, according as any one might have need.Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need.
Acts 2:46And day by day, going in agreement together regularly to the Temple and, taking broken bread together in their houses, they took their food with joy and with true hearts,And every day, being constantly in the temple with one accord, and breaking bread in [the] house, they received their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;
Acts 2:47Giving praise to God, and having the approval of all the people; and every day the number of those who had salvation was increased by the Lord.praising God, and having favour with all the people; and the Lord added [to the assembly] daily those that were to be saved.Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord increased daily together such as should be saved.
