Exodus 7:1 | And the Lord said to Moses, See I have made you a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet. | And Jehovah said to Moses, See, I have made thee God to Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. | And the Lord said to Moses: Behold I have appointed thee the God of Pharao: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. |
Exodus 7:2 | Say whatever I give you orders to say: and Aaron your brother will give word to Pharaoh to let the children of Israel go out of his land. | Thou shalt speak all that I command thee; and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land. | Thou shalt speak to him all that I command thee; and he shall speak to Pharao, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land. |
Exodus 7:3 | And I will make Pharaoh's heart hard, and my signs and wonders will be increased in the land of Egypt. | And I will render Pharaoh's heart obdurate, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. | But I shall harden his heart, and shall multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, |
Exodus 7:4 | But Pharaoh will not give ear to you, and I will put my hand on Egypt, and take my armies, my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt, after great punishments. | And Pharaoh will not hearken unto you; and I will lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth my hosts, my people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. | And he will not hear you: and I will lay my hand upon Egypt, and will bring forth my army and my people the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, by very great judgments. |
Exodus 7:5 | And the Egyptians will see that I am the Lord, when my hand is stretched out over Egypt, and I take the children of Israel out from among them. | And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah, when I stretch forth my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them. | And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, who have stretched forth my hand upon Egypt, and have brought forth the children of Israel out of the midst of them. |
Exodus 7:6 | And Moses and Aaron did so: as the Lord gave them orders, so they did. | And Moses and Aaron did as Jehovah had commanded them: so did they. | And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded: so did they. |
Exodus 7:7 | And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they gave the Lord's word to Pharaoh. | And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh. | And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharao. |
Exodus 7:8 | And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, | And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, | And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: |
Exodus 7:9 | If Pharaoh says to you, Let me see a wonder: then say to Aaron, Take your rod and put it down on the earth before Pharaoh so that it may become a snake. | When Pharaoh shall speak to you, saying, Do a miracle for yourselves, then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy staff and cast [it] before Pharaoh it will become a serpent. | When Pharao shall say to you, Shew signs: thou shalt say to Aaron: Take thy rod, and cast it down before Pharao, and it shall be turned into a serpent. |
Exodus 7:10 | Then Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and they did as the Lord had said: and Aaron put his rod down on the earth before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a snake. | And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and did so, as Jehovah had commanded; and Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh, and before his bondmen, and it became a serpent. | So Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharao, and did as the Lord had commanded. And Aaron took the rod before Pharao, and his servants, and it was turned into a serpent. |
Exodus 7:11 | Then Pharaoh sent for the wise men and the wonder-workers, and they, the wonder-workers of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts. | And Pharaoh also called the sages and the sorcerers; and they too, the scribes of Egypt, did so with their enchantments: | And Pharao called the wise men and the magicians: and they also by Egyptian enchantments and certain secrets did in like manner. |
Exodus 7:12 | For every one of them put down his rod on the earth, and they became snakes: but Aaron's rod made a meal of their rods. | they cast down every man his staff, and they became serpents; but Aaron's staff swallowed up their staves. | And they every one cast down their rods, and they were turned into serpents: but Aaron's rod devoured their rods. |
Exodus 7:13 | But Pharaoh's heart was made hard, and he did not give ear to them, as the Lord had said. | And Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, and he hearkened not to them, as Jehovah had said. | And Pharao's heart was hardened, and he did not hearken to them, as the Lord had commanded. |
Exodus 7:14 | And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Pharaoh's heart is unchanged; he will not let the people go. | And Jehovah said to Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened: he refuseth to let the people go. | And the Lord said to Moses: Pharao's heart is hardened, he will not let the people go. |
Exodus 7:15 | Go to Pharaoh in the morning; when he goes out to the water, you will be waiting for him by the edge of the Nile, with the rod which was turned into a snake in your hand; | Go unto Pharaoh in the morning behold, he will go out unto the water and take thy stand by the bank of the river in front of him; and take in thy hand the staff that was turned into a serpent. | Go to him in the morning, behold he will go out to the waters: and thou shalt stand to meet him on the bank of the river: and thou shalt take in thy hand the rod that was turned into a serpent. |
Exodus 7:16 | And say to him, The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, Let my people go so that they may give me worship in the waste land; but up to now you have not given ear to his words. | And say unto him, Jehovah the God of the Hebrews has sent me to thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness; but behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened. | And thou shalt say to him: The Lord God of the Hebrews sent me to thee saying: Let my people go to sacrifice to me in the desert: and hitherto thou wouldst not hear. |
Exodus 7:17 | So the Lord says, By this you may be certain that I am the Lord; see, by the touch of this rod in my hand the waters of the Nile will be turned to blood; | Thus saith Jehovah: In this shalt thou know that I am Jehovah behold, I will smite with the staff that is in my hand upon the water which is in the river, and it shall be turned into blood. | Thus therefore saith the Lord: In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold I will strike with the rods that is in my hand, the water of the river, and it shall be turned into blood. |
Exodus 7:18 | And the fish in the Nile will come to destruction, and the river will send up a bad smell, and the Egyptians will not be able, for disgust, to make use of the water of the Nile for drinking. | And the fish that is in the river shall die; and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink the water out of the river. | And the fishes that are in the river shall die, and the waters shall be corrupted, and the Egyptians shall be afflicted when they drink the water of the river. |
Exodus 7:19 | And the Lord said, Say to Aaron, Let the rod in your hand be stretched out over the waters of Egypt, and over the rivers and the streams and the pools, and over every stretch of water, so that they may be turned to blood; and there will be blood through all the land of Egypt, in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone. | And Jehovah said to Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy staff, and stretch out thy hand upon the waters of the Egyptians upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their reservoirs of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout the land of Egypt, both in [vessels of] wood and in [vessels of] stone. | The Lord also said to Moses: Say to Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand upon the waters of Egypt, and upon their rivers, and streams and pools, and all the ponds of waters, that they may be turned into blood: and let blood be in all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and of stone. |
Exodus 7:20 | And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had said; and when his rod had been lifted up and stretched out over the waters of the Nile before the eyes of Pharaoh and his servants, all the water in the Nile was turned to blood; | And Moses and Aaron did so, as Jehovah had commanded; and he lifted up the staff, and smote the waters that were in the river before the eyes of Pharaoh, and before the eyes of his bondmen; and all the waters that were in the river were turned into blood. | And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded: and lifting up the rod he struck the water of the river before Pharao and his servants: and it was turned into blood. |
Exodus 7:21 | And the fish in the Nile came to destruction, and a bad smell went up from the river, and the Egyptians were not able to make use of the water of the Nile for drinking; and there was blood through all the land of Egypt. | And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river; and the blood was throughout the land of Egypt. | And the fishes that were in the river died: and the river corrupted, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river, and there was blood in all the land of Egypt. |
Exodus 7:22 | And the wonder-workers of Egypt did the same with their secret arts: but Pharaoh's heart was made hard, and he would not give ear to them, as the Lord had said. | And the scribes of Egypt did so with their sorceries; and Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, neither did he hearken to them, as Jehovah had said. | And the magicians of the Egyptians with their enchantments did in like manner: and Pharao's heart was hardened, neither did he hear them, as the Lord had commanded. |
Exodus 7:23 | Then Pharaoh went into his house, and did not take even this to heart. | And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and took not this to heart either. | And he turned himself away and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to it this time also. |
Exodus 7:24 | And all the Egyptians made holes round about the Nile to get drinking-water, for they were not able to make use of the Nile water. | And all the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river. | And all the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink: for they could not drink of the water of the river. |
Exodus 7:25 | And seven days went past, after the Lord had put his hand on the Nile. | And seven days were fulfilled, after Jehovah had smitten the river. | And seven days were fully ended, after that the Lord struck the river. |
