Acts 15:1Now certain men came down from Judaea, teaching the brothers and saying that without circumcision, after the rule of Moses, there is no salvation. And certain persons, having come down from Judaea, taught the brethren, If ye shall not have been circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved. And certain men who came down from Judea, taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
Acts 15:2And after Paul and Barnabas had had no little argument and discussion with them, the brothers made a decision to send Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them to the Apostles and the rulers of the church at Jerusalem about this question.A commotion therefore having taken place, and no small discussion on the part of Paul and Barnabas against them, they arranged that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others from amongst them, should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of them, should go to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
Acts 15:3So they, being sent on their way by the church, went through Phoenicia and Samaria, giving news of the salvation of the Gentiles, to the great joy of all the brothers. They therefore, having been set on their way by the assembly, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, relating the conversion of [those of] the nations. And they caused great joy to all the brethren. And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice, and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy to all the brethren.
Acts 15:4And when they came to Jerusalem, they had a meeting with the church and the Apostles and the rulers, and they gave an account of all the things which God had done through them. And being arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and the elders, and related all that God had wrought with them. And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
Acts 15:5But some of the Pharisees, who were of the faith, got up and said, It is necessary for these to have circumcision and to keep the law of Moses. And some of those who were of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, rose up from among [them], saying that they ought to circumcise them and enjoin them to keep the law of Moses. But there rose certain of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
Acts 15:6And the Apostles and the rulers of the church came together and gave thought to the question. And the apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter. And the apostles and elders came together to consider of this matter.
Acts 15:7And when there had been much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, My brothers, you have knowledge that some time back it was God's pleasure that by my mouth the good news might be given to the Gentiles so that they might have faith. And much discussion having taken place, Peter, standing up, said to them, Brethren, *ye* know that from the earliest days God amongst you chose that the nations by my mouth should hear the word of the glad tidings and believe. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose and said to them, Men, brethren, ye know that a good while ago, God made choice among us, that the Gentiles, by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Acts 15:8And God, the searcher of hearts, was a witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit even as he did to us;And the heart-knowing God bore them witness, giving [them] the Holy Spirit as to us also,And God, who knoweth the hearts, bore them witness, giving to them the Holy Spirit, even as he did to us:
Acts 15:9Making no division between them and us, but making clean their hearts by faith.and put no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith. And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Acts 15:10Why then are you testing God, by putting on the neck of the disciples a yoke so hard that not even our fathers or we were strong enough for it?Now therefore why tempt ye God, by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Acts 15:11But we have faith that we will get salvation through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way as they. But we believe that we shall be saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same manner as they also. But we believe, that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved even as they.
Acts 15:12And all the people were quiet while Barnabas and Paul gave an account of the signs and wonders which God had done among the Gentiles by them. And all the multitude kept silence and listened to Barnabas and Paul relating all the signs and wonders which God had wrought among the nations by them. Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought by them among the Gentiles.
Acts 15:13And when they had come to an end, James, answering, said, My brothers, give ear to me:And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Brethren, listen to me:And after they held their peace, James answered, saying, Men, brethren, hearken to me.
Acts 15:14Symeon has given an account of how God was first pleased to take from among the Gentiles a people for himself.Simon has related how God first visited to take out of [the] nations a people for his name.Simeon hath declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take from among them a people for his name.
Acts 15:15And this is in agreement with the words of the prophets, as it is said,And with this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written:And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Acts 15:16After these things I will come back, and will put up the tent of David which has been broken down, building up again its broken parts and making it complete:After these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up,After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins of it; and I will set it up:
Acts 15:17So that the rest of men may make search for the Lord, and all the Gentiles on whom my name is named,so that the residue of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations on whom my name is invoked, saith [the] Lord, who does these thingsThat the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
Acts 15:18Says the Lord, who has made these things clear from the earliest times.known from eternity.Known to God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Acts 15:19For this reason my decision is, that we do not put trouble in the way of those who from among the Gentiles are turned to God;Wherefore *I* judge, not to trouble those who from the nations turn to God;Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, who from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Acts 15:20But that we give them orders to keep themselves from things offered to false gods, and from the evil desires of the body, and from the flesh of animals put to death in ways against the law, and from blood.but to write to them to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood. But that we write to them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from lewdness, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:21For Moses, from times long past, has his preachers in every town, reading his law in the Synagogues every Sabbath. For Moses, from generations of old, has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath. For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath.
Acts 15:22Then it seemed good to the Apostles and the rulers and all the church, to send men from among them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; Judas, named Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers:Then it seemed good to the apostles and to the elders, with the whole assembly, to send chosen men from among them with Paul and Barnabas to Antioch, Judas called Barsabas and Silas, leading men among the brethren,Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
Acts 15:23And they sent a letter by them, saying, The Apostles and the older brothers, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, may joy be with you:having by their hand written [thus]: The apostles, and the elders, and the brethren, to the brethren who are from among [the] nations at Antioch, and [in] Syria and Cilicia, greeting:And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles, and elders, and brethren, send greeting to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia.
Acts 15:24Because we have knowledge that some who went from us have been troubling you with their words, putting your souls in doubt; to whom we gave no such order;Inasmuch as we have heard that some who went out from amongst us have troubled you by words, upsetting your souls, [saying that ye must be circumcised and keep the law]; to whom we gave no commandment;Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain who went out from us, have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law; to whom we gave no such commandment:
Acts 15:25It seemed good to us, having come to an agreement together, to send these men to you, with our well loved Barnabas and Paul,it seemed good to us, having arrived at a common judgment, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul:

Acts 15:27And so we have sent Judas and Silas, who will say the same things to you themselves, by word of mouth. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves also will tell you by word [of mouth] the same things. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who will also tell you the same things by mouth.
Acts 15:28For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us, to put on you nothing more than these necessary things;For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Acts 15:29To keep from things offered to false gods, and from blood, and from things put to death in ways which are against the law, and from the evil desires of the body; if you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. May you be happy.to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication; keeping yourselves from which ye will do well. Farewell. That ye abstain from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from lewdness: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye will do well. Fare ye well.
Acts 15:30So they, being sent away, came down to Antioch, and having got the people together, they gave them the letter. They therefore, being let go, came to Antioch, and having gathered the multitude delivered to [them] the epistle. So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had convened the multitude, they delivered the epistle.
Acts 15:31And after reading it, they were glad of its comfort. And having read it, they rejoiced at the consolation.Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
Acts 15:32And Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, gave teaching to the brothers and made them strong in the faith. And Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted the brethren with much discourse, and strengthened them. And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
Acts 15:33And when they had been there for some time, they were sent back in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. And having passed some time [there], they were let go in peace from the brethren to those who sent them. And after they had tarried there a time, they were dismissed in peace from the brethren to the apostles.

Acts 15:36And after some days, Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go back and see the brothers in every town where we have given the word of God, and see how they are.But after certain days Paul said to Barnabas, Let us return now and visit the brethren in every city where we have announced the word of the Lord, [and see] how they are getting on.And some days after, Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren, in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.

Acts 15:39And there was a sharp argument between them, so that they were parted from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and went by ship to Cyprus; There arose therefore very warm feeling, so that they separated from one another; and Barnabas taking Mark sailed away to Cyprus; And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed, separating one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus.
