John 2:1On the third day two people were going to be married at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there:And on the third day a marriage took place in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
John 2:2And Jesus with his disciples came as guests. And Jesus also, and his disciples, were invited to the marriage. And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
John 2:3When they had not enough wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine. And wine being deficient, the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith to him, They have no wine.
John 2:4Jesus said to her, Woman, this is not your business; my time is still to come.Jesus says to her, What have I to do with thee, woman? mine hour has not yet come.Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? my hour is not yet come.
John 2:5His mother said to the servants, Whatever he says to you, do it.His mother says to the servants, Whatever he may say to you, do.His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
John 2:6Now six pots of stone, every one taking two or three firkins of water, were placed there for the purpose of washing, as is the way of the Jews. Now there were standing there six stone water-vessels, according to the purification of the Jews, holding two or three measures each. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
John 2:7Jesus said to the servants, Make the pots full of water. And they made them full to the top.Jesus says to them, Fill the water-vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim.Jesus saith to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them to the brim.
John 2:8Then he said to them, Now take some, and give it to the master of the feast. So they took it to him.And he says to them, Draw out now, and carry [it] to the feast-master. And they carried [it].And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear to the governor of the feast. And they bore it.
John 2:9After tasting the water which had now become wine, the master of the feast (having no idea where it came from, though it was clear to the servants who took the water out) sent for the newly-married man,But when the feast-master had tasted the water which had been made wine (and knew not whence it was, but the servants knew who drew the water), the feast-master calls the bridegroom,When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was; (but the servants who drew the water knew) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
John 2:10And said to him, Every man first puts out his best wine and when all have had enough he puts out what is not so good; but you have kept the good wine till now.and says to him, Every man sets on first the good wine, and when [men] have well drunk, then the inferior; thou hast kept the good wine till now.And saith to him, Every man at the beginning presenteth good wine; and when men have well drank, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
John 2:11This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee and let his glory be seen openly; and his disciples put their faith in him. This beginning of signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him. This beginning of miracles Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
John 2:12After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they were there not more than two or three days. After this he descended to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brethren and his disciples; and there they abode not many days. After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and they continued there not many days.
John 2:13The time of the Passover of the Jews was near and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And the passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
John 2:14And there in the Temple he saw men trading in oxen and sheep and doves, and he saw the changers of money in their seats:And he found in the temple the sellers of oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting; And found in the temple those that sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the changers of money, sitting:
John 2:15And he made a whip of small cords and put them all out of the Temple, with the sheep and the oxen, sending in all directions the small money of the changers and overturning their tables;and, having made a scourge of cords, he cast [them] all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the change of the money-changers, and overturned the tables,And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
John 2:16And to those who were trading in doves he said, Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a market.and said to the sellers of doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise. And said to them that sold doves, Take these things hence: make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
John 2:17And it came to the minds of the disciples that the Writings say, I am on fire with passion for your house.[And] his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal of thy house devours me.And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thy house hath eaten me up.
John 2:18Then the Jews put this question to him: What sign of authority have you to give us, seeing that you do these things? The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign shewest thou to us, that thou doest these things? Then answered the Jews, and said to him, What sign showest thou to us, seeing that thou doest these things?
John 2:19And Jesus said to them, Send destruction on this Temple and I will put it up again in three days.Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
John 2:20The Jews said, The building of this Temple took forty-six years; and you will put it up in three days! The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple building, and thou wilt raise it up in three days? Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
John 2:21But his words were about that holy building which was his body. But *he* spoke of the temple of his body. But he spoke of the temple of his body.
John 2:22So when he had come back again from the dead, the memory of these words came back to the disciples, and they had faith in the holy Writings and in the word which Jesus had said. When therefore he was raised from among [the] dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken. When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this to them: and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
John 2:23Now while he was in Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, a great number of people came to have faith in his name, after seeing the signs which he did.And when he was in Jerusalem, at the passover, at the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he wrought. Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he performed.
John 2:24But Jesus did not have faith in them, because he had knowledge of them all.But Jesus himself did not trust himself to them, because he knew all [men],But Jesus did not commit himself to them, because he knew all men.
John 2:25He had no need for any witness about man; for he himself had knowledge of what was in man.and that he had not need that any should testify of man, for himself knew what was in man.And needed not that any should testify concerning man: for he knew what was in man.
