| 1st-John 5:1 | Everyone who has faith that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God: and everyone who has love for the Father has love for his child. | Every one that believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God; and every one that loves him that has begotten loves also him that is begotten of him. | Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God; and every one who loves the Father loves also Him who is the Father's Child. |
| 1st-John 5:2 | In this way, we are certain that we have love for the children of God, when we have love for God and keep his laws. | Hereby know we that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments. | The fact that we love God Himself, and obey His commands, is a proof that we love God's children. |
