Deuteronomy 24:1If a man takes a wife, and after they are married she is unpleasing to him because of some bad quality in her, let him give her a statement in writing and send her away from his house.When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, it shall be if she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a letter of divorce, and give it into her hand, and send her out of his house.`When a man doth take a wife, and hath married her, and it hath been, if she doth not find grace in his eyes (for he hath found in her nakedness of anything), and he hath written for her a writing of divorce, and given [it] into her hand, and sent her out of his house,
Deuteronomy 24:2And when she has gone away from him, she may become another man's wife.And she shall depart out of his house, and go away, and may become another man's wife.and she hath gone out of his house, and hath gone and been another man`s,
Deuteronomy 24:3And if the second husband has no love for her and, giving her a statement in writing, sends her away; or if death comes to the second husband to whom she was married;And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a letter of divorce, and give it into her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die who took her as his wife;and the latter man hath hated her, and written for her a writing of divorce, and given [it] into her hand, and sent her out of his house, or when the latter man dieth, who hath taken her to himself for a wife:
Deuteronomy 24:4Her first husband, who had sent her away, may not take her back after she has been wife to another; for that is disgusting to the Lord: and you are not to be a cause of sin in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for your heritage.her first husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for it is an abomination before Jehovah; and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.`Her former husband who sent her away is not able to turn back to take her to be to him for a wife, after that she hath become defiled; for an abomination it [is] before Jehovah, and thou dost not cause the land to sin which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee an inheritance.
Deuteronomy 24:5A newly married man will not have to go out with the army or undertake any business, but may be free for one year, living in his house for the comfort of his wife.When a man hath newly taken a wife, he shall not go out with the army, neither shall any kind of business be imposed upon him; he shall be free for his house one year, and shall gladden his wife whom he hath taken.`When a man taketh a new wife, he doth not go out into the host, and [one] doth not pass over unto him for anything; free he is at his own house one year, and hath rejoiced his wife whom he hath taken.
Deuteronomy 24:6No one is to take, on account of a debt, the stones with which grain is crushed: for in doing so he takes a man's living.No man shall take the hand-mill or the upper millstone in pledge; for it would be taking life in pledge.`None doth take in pledge millstones, and rider, for life it [is] he is taking in pledge.
Deuteronomy 24:7If a man takes by force one of his countrymen, the children of Israel, using him as his property or getting a price for him, that thief is to be put to death: so you are to put away evil from among you.If a man be found who hath stolen one of his brethren of the children of Israel, and who hath treated him as a slave and sold him, that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from thy midst.`When a man is found stealing a person, of his brethren, of the sons of Israel, and hath tyrannized over him, and sold him, then hath that thief died, and thou hast put away the evil thing out of thy midst.
Deuteronomy 24:8In connection with the leper's disease, take care to keep and do every detail of the teaching of the priests, the Levites: as I gave them orders, so you are to do.Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou take great heed, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them shall ye take heed to do.`Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, to watch greatly, and to do according to all that the priests, the Levites, teach you; as I have commanded them ye observe to do;
Deuteronomy 24:9Keep in mind what the Lord your God did to Miriam on the way, when you came out of Egypt.Remember what Jehovah thy God did unto Miriam on the way, after that ye came forth out of Egypt.remember that which Jehovah thy God hath done to Miriam in the way, in your coming out of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 24:10If you let your brother have the use of anything which is yours, do not go into his house and take anything of his as a sign of his debt;When thou dost lend thy brother anything, thou shalt not go into his house to secure his pledge.`When thou liftest up on thy brother a debt of anything, thou dost not go in unto his house to obtain his pledge;
Deuteronomy 24:11But keep outside till he comes out and gives it to you.Thou shalt stand outside, and the man to whom thou hast made a loan shall bring out the pledge to thee without.at the outside thou dost stand, and the man on whom thou art lifting [it] up is bringing out unto thee the pledge at the outside.
Deuteronomy 24:12If he is a poor man, do not keep his property all night;And if the man be needy, thou shalt not lie down with his pledge;`And if he is a poor man, thou dost not lie down with his pledge;
Deuteronomy 24:13But be certain to give it back to him when the sun goes down, so that he may have his clothing for sleeping in, and will give you his blessing: and this will be put to your account as righteousness before the Lord your God.in any case thou shalt return him the pledge at the going down of the sun, that he may sleep in his own upper garment and bless thee; and it shall be righteousness unto thee before Jehovah thy God.thou dost certainly give back to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, and he hath lain down in his own raiment, and hath blessed thee; and to thee it is righteousness before Jehovah thy God.
Deuteronomy 24:14Do not be hard on a servant who is poor and in need, if he is one of your countrymen or a man from another nation living with you in your land.Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant [who is] poor and needy of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners who are in thy land within thy gates:`Thou dost not oppress a hireling, poor and needy, of thy brethren or of thy sojourner who is in thy land within thy gates;
Deuteronomy 24:15Give him his payment day by day, not keeping it back over night; for he is poor and his living is dependent on it; and if his cry against you comes to the ears of the Lord, it will be judged as sin in you.on his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and his soul yearneth after it; lest he cry against thee to Jehovah, and it be a sin in thee.in his day thou dost give his hire, and the sun doth not go in upon it, for he [is] poor, and unto it he is lifting up his soul, and he doth not cry against thee unto Jehovah, and it hath been in thee sin.
Deuteronomy 24:16Fathers are not to be put to death for their children or children for their fathers: every man is to be put to death for the sin which he himself has done.The fathers shall not be put to death for the sons, neither shall the sons be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.`Fathers are not put to death for sons, and sons are not put to death for fathers each for his own sin, they are put to death.
Deuteronomy 24:17Be upright in judging the cause of the man from a strange country and of him who has no father; do not take a widow's clothing on account of a debt:Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, [or] of the fatherless; and thou shalt not take in pledge a widow's garment.`Thou dost not turn aside the judgment of a fatherless sojourner, nor take in pledge the garment of a widow;
Deuteronomy 24:18But keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God made you free: for this is why I give you orders to do this.And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and that Jehovah thy God redeemed thee from thence; therefore I command thee to do this thing.and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in Egypt, and Jehovah thy God doth ransom thee from thence; therefore I am commanding thee to do this thing.
Deuteronomy 24:19When you get in the grain from your field, if some of the grain has been dropped by chance in the field, do not go back and get it, but let it be for the man from a strange land, the child without a father, and the widow: so that the blessing of the Lord your God may be on all the work of your hands.When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not return to fetch it; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands.`When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and hast forgotten a sheaf in a field, thou dost not turn back to take it; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is; so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all the work of thy hands.
Deuteronomy 24:20When you are shaking the fruit from your olive-trees, do not go over the branches a second time: let some be for the man from a strange land, the child without a father, and the widow.When thou shakest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.`When thou beatest thine olive, thou dost not examine the branch behind thee; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is.
Deuteronomy 24:21When you are pulling the grapes from your vines, do not take up those which have been dropped; let them be for the man from a strange land, the child without a father, and the widow.When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterwards; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.`When thou cuttest thy vineyard, thou dost not glean behind thee; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is;
Deuteronomy 24:22Keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt: for this is why I give you orders to do this.And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt; therefore I command thee to do this thing.and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in the land of Egypt; therefore I am commanding thee to do this thing.
