Acts 8:1And Saul gave approval to his death. Now at that time a violent attack was started against the church in Jerusalem; and all but the Apostles went away into all parts of Judaea and Samaria.And at that time there was raised a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all dispersed through the countries of Judea, and Samaria, except the apostles.And Saul was consenting to his being killed. Acts 8:3But Saul was burning with hate against the church, going into every house and taking men and women and putting them in prison.But Saul made havock of the church, entering in from house to house, and dragging away men and women, committed them to prison.But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into the houses one after another, and dragging off both men and women delivered them up to prison.
Acts 8:4But those who had gone in flight went everywhere preaching the word.They therefore that were dispersed, went about preaching the word of God.Those then that had been scattered went through [the countries] announcing the glad tidings of the word.
Acts 8:5And Philip went down to Samaria and was teaching them about Christ.And Philip going down to the city of Samaria, preached Christ unto them.And Philip, going down to a city of Samaria, preached the Christ to them;
Acts 8:6And all the people gave attention to the words which Philip said, when they saw the signs which he did.And the people with one accord were attentive to those things which were said by Philip, hearing, and seeing the miracles which he did.and the crowds with one accord gave heed to the things spoken by Philip, when they heard [him] and saw the signs which he wrought.
Acts 8:7For unclean spirits came out from those who had them, crying with a loud voice; and a number of those who were ill and broken in body were made well.For many of them who had unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, went out.For from many who had unclean spirits they went out, crying with a loud voice; and many that were paralysed and lame were healed.
Acts 8:8And there was much joy in that town.And many, taken with the palsy, and that were lame, were healed.And there was great joy in that city.
Acts 8:9But there was a certain man named Simon, who in the past had been a wonder-worker and a cause of surprise to the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was a great man:There was therefore great joy in that city. Now there was a certain man named Simon, who before had been a magician in that city, seducing the people of Samaria, giving out that he was some great one:But a certain man, by name Simon, had been before in the city, using magic arts, and astonishing the nation of Samaria, saying that himself was some great one.
Acts 8:10To whom they all gave attention, from the smallest to the greatest, saying, This man is that power of God which is named Great.To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the power of God, which is called great.To whom they had all given heed, from small to great, saying, This is the power of God which is called great.
Acts 8:11And they gave attention to him, because for a long time his wonder-working powers had kept them under his control.And they were attentive to him, because, for a long time, he had bewitched them with his magical practices.And they gave heed to him, because that for a long time he had astonished them by his magic arts.
Acts 8:12But when they had faith in the good news given by Philip about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, a number of men and women had baptism.But when they had believed Philip preaching of the kingdom of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.But when they believed Philip announcing the glad tidings concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptised, both men and women.
Acts 8:13And Simon himself had faith and, having had baptism, he went with Philip and, seeing the signs and the great wonders which he did, he was full of surprise.Then Simon himself believed also; and being baptized, he adhered to Philip. And being astonished, wondered to see the signs and exceeding great miracles which were done.And Simon also himself believed; and, having been baptised, continued constantly with Philip; and, beholding the signs and great works of power which took place, was astonished.

Acts 8:16For up to that time he had not come on any of them; only baptism had been given to them in the name of the Lord Jesus.For he was not as yet come upon any of them; but they were only baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.for he was not yet fallen upon any of them, only they were baptised to the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 8:17Then they put their hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them.Then they laid their hands upon them, and they received the Holy Ghost.Then they laid their hands upon them, and they received [the] Holy Spirit.

But Peter said to him:saying, Give to me also this power, in order that on whomsoever I may lay hands he may receive [the] Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:20But Peter said, May your money come to destruction with you, because you had the idea that what is freely given by God may be got for a price.Keep thy money to thyself, to perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.And Peter said to him, Thy money go with thee to destruction, because thou hast thought that the gift of God can be obtained by money.
Acts 8:21You have no part in this business, because your heart is not right before God.Thou hast no part nor lot in this matter. For thy heart is not right in the sight of God.Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter, for thy heart is not upright before God.
Acts 8:22Let your heart be changed, and make prayer to God that you may have forgiveness for your evil thoughts.Do penance therefore for this thy wickedness; and pray to God, that perhaps this thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee.Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and supplicate the Lord, if indeed the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee;

Acts 8:24And Simon, answering, said, Make prayer for me to the Lord, so that these things which you have said may not come on me.Then Simon answering, said: Pray you for me to the Lord, that none of these things which you have spoken may come upon me.And Simon answering said, Supplicate *ye* for me to the Lord, so that nothing may come upon me of the things of which ye have spoken.
Acts 8:25So they, having given their witness and made clear the word of the Lord, went back to Jerusalem, giving the good news on their way in a number of the small towns of Samaria.And they indeed having testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many countries of the Samaritans.They therefore, having testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and announced the glad tidings to many villages of the Samaritans.

And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.And he said, How should I then be able unless some one guide me? And he begged Philip to come up and sit with him.
Acts 8:32Now the place in the book where he was reading was this: He was taken, like a sheep, to be put to death; and as a lamb is quiet when its wool is being cut, so he made no sound:And the place of the scripture which he was reading was this: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb without voice before his shearer, so openeth he not his mouth.And the passage of the scripture which he read was this: He was led as a sheep to slaughter, and as a lamb is dumb in presence of him that shears him, thus he opens not his mouth.
Acts 8:33Being of low degree, his cause was not given a hearing: who has knowledge of his family? for his life is cut off from the earth.In humility his judgment was taken away. His generation who shall declare, for his life shall be taken from the earth?In his humiliation his judgment has been taken away, and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
Acts 8:34And the Ethiopian said to Philip, About whom are these words said by the prophet? about himself, or some other?And the eunuch answering Philip, said: I beseech thee, of whom doth the prophet speak this? of himself, or of some other man?And the eunuch answering Philip said, I pray thee, concerning whom does the prophet say this? of himself or of some other?
