| Hebrews 8:1 | Now of the things we are saying this is the chief point: We have such a high priest, who has taken his place at the right hand of God's high seat of glory in heaven, | Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of majesty in the heavens, | Now a summary of the things of which we are speaking [is], We have such a one high priest who has sat down on [the] right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens; |
| Hebrews 8:2 | As a servant of the holy things and of the true Tent, which was put up by God, not by man. | A minister of the holies, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord hath pitched, and not man. | minister of the holy places and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord has pitched, [and] not man. |
| Hebrews 8:3 | Now every high priest is given authority to take to God the things which are given and to make offerings; so that it is necessary for this man, like them, to have something for an offering. | For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is necessary that he also should have some thing to offer. | For every high priest is constituted for the offering both of gifts and sacrifices; whence it is needful that this one also should have something which he may offer. |
| Hebrews 8:4 | If he had been on earth he would not have been a priest at all, because there are other priests who make the offerings ordered by the law; | If then he were on earth, he would not be a priest: seeing that there would be others to offer gifts according to the law, | If then indeed he were upon earth, he would not even be a priest, there being those who offer the gifts according to the law, |
| Hebrews 8:5 | Being servants of that which is a copy and an image of the things in heaven, as Moses, when he was about to make the Tent, had special orders from God: for, See, he said, that you make everything like the design which you saw in the mountain. | Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things. As it was answered to Moses, when he was to finish the tabernacle: See (saith he) that thou make all things according to the pattern which was shewn thee on the mount. | (who serve the representation and shadow of heavenly things, according as Moses was oracularly told [when] about to make the tabernacle; for See, saith He, that thou make all things according to the pattern which has been shewn to thee in the mountain.) |
| Hebrews 8:6 | But now his position as priest is higher. because through him God has made a better agreement with man, based on the giving of better things. | But now he hath obtained a better ministry, by how much also he is a mediator of a better testament, which is established on better promises. | But now he has got a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is mediator of a better covenant, which is established on the footing of better promises. |

| Hebrews 8:8 | For, protesting against them, he says, See, the days are coming when I will make a new agreement with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah; | For finding fault with them, he saith: Behold, the days shall come, saith the Lord: and I will perfect unto the house of Israel, and unto the house of Juda, a new testament: | For finding fault, he says to them, Behold, days come, saith the Lord, and I will consummate a new covenant as regards the house of Israel, and as regards the house of Juda; |
| Hebrews 8:9 | Not like the agreement which I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand, to be their guide out of the land of Egypt; for they did not keep the agreement with me, and I gave them up, says the Lord. | Not according to the testament which I made to their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt: because they continued not in my testament: and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. | not according to the covenant which I made to their fathers in [the] day of my taking their hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because *they* did not continue in my covenant, and *I* did not regard them, saith [the] Lord. |
| Hebrews 8:10 | For this is the agreement which I will make with the people of Israel after those days: I will put my laws into their minds, writing them in their hearts: and I will be their God, and they will be my people: | For this is the testament which I will make to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their mind, and in their heart will I write them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: | Because this [is] the covenant that I will covenant to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: Giving my laws into their mind, I will write them also upon their hearts; and I will be to them for God, and *they* shall be to me for people. |
| Hebrews 8:11 | And there will be no need for every man to be teaching his brother, or his neighbour, saying, This is the knowledge of the Lord: for they will all have knowledge of me, great and small. | And they shall not teach every man his neighbour and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me from the least to the greatest of them: | And they shall not teach each his fellow-citizen, and each his brother, saying, Know the Lord; because all shall know me in themselves, from [the] little one [among them] unto [the] great among them. |
| Hebrews 8:12 | And I will have mercy on their evil-doing, and I will not keep their sins in mind. | Because I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more. | Because I will be merciful to their unrighteousnesses, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more. |
| Hebrews 8:13 | When he says, A new agreement, he has made the first agreement old. But anything which is getting old and past use will not be seen much longer. | Now in saying a new, he hath made the former old. And that which decayeth and groweth old, is near its end. | In that he says New, he has made the first old; but that which grows old and aged [is] near disappearing. |
