Titus 1:5I did not take you with me when I went away from Crete, so that you might do what was necessary to put things in order there, placing men in authority over the churches in every town, as I said to you;For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and shouldest ordain priests in every city, as I also appointed thee:For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldst set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Titus 1:6Men having a good record, husbands of one wife, whose children are of the faith, children of whom it may not be said that they are given to loose living or are uncontrolled.If any be without crime, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot, or unruly.If any is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot, or disorderly.
Titus 1:7For it is necessary for a Bishop to be a man of virtue, as God's servant; not pushing himself forward, not quickly moved to wrath or blows, not desiring profit for himself;For a bishop must be without crime, as the steward of God: not proud, not subject to anger, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre:For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
Titus 1:8But opening his house freely to guests; a lover of what is good, serious-minded, upright, holy, self-controlled;But given to hospitality, gentle, sober, just, holy, continent:But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
Titus 1:9Keeping to the true word of the teaching, so that he may be able to give comfort by right teaching and overcome the arguments of the doubters.Embracing that faithful word which is according to doctrine, that he may be able to exhort in sound doctrine, and to convince the gainsayers.Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
Titus 1:10For there are men who are not ruled by law; foolish talkers, false teachers, specially those of the circumcision,For there are also many disobedient, vain talkers, and seducers: especially they who are of the circumcision:For there are many disorderly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
Titus 1:11By whom some families have been completely overturned; who take money for teaching things which are not right; these will have to be stopped.Who must be reproved, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of sordid gain.

Titus 1:13This witness is true. So say sharp words to them so that they may come to the right faith,This testimony is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;This testimony is true: wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

Titus 1:16They say that they have knowledge of God, while by their acts they are turning their backs on him; they are hated by all, hard-hearted, and judged to be without value for any good work.They profess that they know God: but in their works they deny him; being abominable, and incredulous, and to every good work reprobate.They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.
