| Ezekiel 28:1 | The word of the Lord came to me again, saying, | And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying: |
| Ezekiel 28:2 | Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, This is what the Lord has said: Because your heart has been lifted up, and you have said, I am a god, I am seated on the seat of God in the heart of the seas; but you are man and not God, though you have made your heart as the heart of God: | Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre: Thus saith the Lord God: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said: I am God, and T sit in the chair of God in the heart of the sea: whereas thou art a man, and not God: and hast set thy heart as if it were the heart of God. | `Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart hath been high, And thou dost say: A god I [am], The habitation of God I have inhabited, In the heart of the seas, And thou [art] man, and not God, And thou givest out thy heart as the heart of God, |
| Ezekiel 28:3 | See, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret which is deeper than your knowledge: | Behold thou art wiser than Daniel: no secret is hid from thee. | Lo, thou [art] wiser than Daniel, No hidden thing have they concealed from thee. |
| Ezekiel 28:4 | By your wisdom and deep knowledge you have got power for yourself, and put silver and gold in your store-houses: | In thy wisdom and thy understanding thou hast made thyself strong: and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures. | By thy wisdom and by thine understanding Thou hast made for thee wealth, And makest gold and silver in thy treasuries. |
| Ezekiel 28:5 | By your great wisdom and by your trade your power is increased, and your heart is lifted up because of your power: | By the greatness of thy wisdom, and by thy traffic thou hast increased thy strength: and thy heart is lifted up with thy strength. | By the abundance of thy wisdom, Through thy merchandise, Thou hast multiplied thy wealth, And high is thy heart through thy wealth. |
| Ezekiel 28:6 | For this cause the Lord has said: Because you have made your heart as the heart of God, | Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: Because thy heart is lifted up as the heart of God: | Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of thy giving out thy heart as the heart of God, |
| Ezekiel 28:7 | See, I am sending against you strange men, feared among the nations: they will let loose their swords against your bright wisdom, they will make your glory a common thing. | Therefore behold, I will bring upon thee strangers the strongest of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy beauty. | Therefore, lo, I am bringing in against thee strangers, The terrible of the nations, And they have drawn out their swords Against the beauty of thy wisdom, And they have pierced thy brightness. |
| Ezekiel 28:8 | They will send you down to the underworld, and your death will be the death of those who are put to the sword in the heart of the seas. | They shall kill thee, and bring thee down: and thou shalt die the death of them that are slain in the heart of the sea. | To destruction they bring thee down, Thou diest by the deaths of the wounded, in the heart of the seas. |
| Ezekiel 28:9 | Will you say, in the face of those who are taking your life, I am God? but you are man and not God in the hands of those who are wounding you. | Wilt thou yet say before them that slay thee: I am God; whereas thou art a man, and not God, in the hand of them that slay thee? | Dost thou really say, `I [am] God,` Before him who is slaying thee? And thou [art] man, and not God, In the hand of him who is piercing thee. |
| Ezekiel 28:10 | Your death will be the death of those who are without circumcision, by the hands of men from strange lands: for I have said it, says the Lord. | Thou shalt die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. | The deaths of the uncircumcised thou diest, By the hand of strangers, for I have spoken, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.` |

| Ezekiel 28:12 | Son of man, make a song of grief for the king of Tyre, and say to him, This is what the Lord has said: You are all-wise and completely beautiful; | And say to him: Thus saith the Lord God: Thou wast the seal of resemblance, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. | `Son of man, lift up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, And thou hast said to him: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Thou art sealing up a measurement, Full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. |
| Ezekiel 28:13 | You were in Eden, the garden of God; every stone of great price was your clothing, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the emerald and the carbuncle: your store-houses were full of gold, and things of great price were in you; in the day when you were made they were got ready. | Thou wast in the pleasures of the paradise of God: every precious stone teas thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the jasper, the chrysolite, and the onyx, and the beryl, the sapphire, and the carbuncle, and the emerald: gold the work of thy beauty: and thy pipes were prepared in the day that thou wast created. | In Eden, the garden of God, thou hast been, Every precious stone thy covering, Ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle, and gold, The workmanship of thy tabrets, and of thy pipes, In thee in the day of thy being produced, have been prepared. |
| Ezekiel 28:14 | I gave you your place with the winged one; I put you on the mountain of God; you went up and down among the stones of fire. | Thou a cherub stretched out, and protecting, and I set thee in the holy mountain of God, thou hast walked in the midst of the stones of fire. | Thou [art] an anointed cherub who is covering, And I have set thee in the holy mount, God thou hast been, In the midst of stones of fire thou hast walked up and down. |
| Ezekiel 28:15 | There has been no evil in your ways from the day when you were made, till sin was seen in you. | Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day of thy creation, until iniquity was found in thee. | Perfect [art] thou in thy ways, From the day of thy being produced, Till perversity hath been found in thee. |
| Ezekiel 28:16 | Through all your trading you have become full of violent ways, and have done evil: so I sent you out shamed from the mountain of God; the winged one put an end to you from among the stones of fire. | By the multitude of thy merchandise, thy inner parts were filled with iniquity, and thou hast sinned: and I cast thee out from the mountain of God, and destroyed thee, O covering cherub, out of the midst of the stones of fire. | By the abundance of thy merchandise They have filled thy midst with violence, And thou dost sin, And I thrust thee from the mount of God, And I destroy thee, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire. |
| Ezekiel 28:17 | Your heart was lifted up because you were beautiful, you made your wisdom evil through your sin: I have sent you down, even to the earth; I have made you low before kings, so that they may see you. | And thy heart was lifted up with thy beauty: thou best lost thy wisdom in thy beauty, I have cast thee to the ground: I have set thee before the face of kings, that they might behold thee. | High hath been thy heart, because of thy beauty, Thou hast corrupted thy wisdom because of thy brightness, On the earth I have cast thee, Before kings I have set thee, to look on thee, |
| Ezekiel 28:18 | By all your sin, even by your evil trading, you have made your holy places unclean; so I will make a fire come out from you, it will make a meal of you, and I will make you as dust on the earth before the eyes of all who see you. | Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thy iniquities, and by the iniquity of thy traffic: therefore I will bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, to devour thee, and I will make thee as ashes upon the earth in the sight of all that see thee. | From the abundance of thy iniquity, By the perversity of thy traffic, Thou hast polluted thy sanctuaries, And I bring forth fire from thy midst, It hath devoured thee, And I make thee become ashes on the earth, Before the eyes of all beholding thee. |
| Ezekiel 28:19 | All who have knowledge of you among the peoples will be overcome with wonder at you: you have become a thing of fear, and you will never be seen again. | All that shall see thee among the nations, shall be astonished at thee: thou art brought to nothing, and thou shalt never be any more. | All knowing thee among the peoples Have been astonished at thee, Wastes thou hast been, and thou art not to the age.` |

| Ezekiel 28:21 | Son of man, let your face be turned to Zidon, and be a prophet against it, and say, | Son of man, set thy face against Sidon: and thou shalt prophesy of it, | `Son of man, set thy face unto Zidon, and prophesy concerning it; |
| Ezekiel 28:22 | These are the words of the Lord: See, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will get glory for myself in you: and they will be certain that I am the Lord, when I send my punishments on her, and I will be seen to be holy in her. | And shalt say: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I come against thee, Sidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall execute judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her. | and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, O Zidon, And I have been honoured in thy midst, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, In My doing in her judgments, And I have been sanctified in her. |
| Ezekiel 28:23 | And I will send on her disease and blood in her streets; and the wounded will be falling in the middle of her, and the sword will be against her on every side; and they will be certain that I am the Lord. | And I will send into her pestilence, and blood in her streets: and they shall fall being slain by the sword on all sides in the midst thereof: and they shall know that I am the Lord. | And I have sent into her pestilence, And blood into her out-places, The wounded hath been judged in her midst, By the sword upon her round about, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah. |
| Ezekiel 28:24 | And there will no longer be a plant with sharp points wounding the children of Israel, or a thorn troubling them among any who are round about them, who put shame on them; and they will be certain that I am the Lord. | And the house of Israel shall have no more a stumblingblock of bitterness, nor a thorn causing pain on every side round about them, of them that are against them: and they shall know that I am the Lord God. | And there is no more to the house of Israel A pricking brier, and paining thorn, Of all round about them despising them, And they have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah. |
| Ezekiel 28:25 | This is what the Lord has said: When I have got together the children of Israel from the peoples among whom they are wandering, and have been made holy among them before the eyes of the nations, then they will have rest in the land which is theirs, which I gave to my servant Jacob | Thus saith the Lord God: When I shall have gathered together the house of Israel out of the people among whom they are scattered: I will be sanctified in them before the Gentiles: and they shall dwell in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob. | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In My gathering the house of Israel, Out of the peoples among whom they were scattered, I have been sanctified in them, Before the eyes of the nations, And they have dwelt on their ground, That I gave to My servant, to Jacob, |
| Ezekiel 28:26 | And they will be safe there, building houses and planting vine-gardens and living without fear; when I have sent my punishments on all those who put shame on them round about them; and they will be certain that I am the Lord their God. | And they shall dwell therein secure, and they shall build houses, and shall plant vineyards, and shall dwell with confidence, when I shall have executed judgments upon all that are their enemies round about: and they shall know that I am the Lord their God. | And they have dwelt on it confidently, And builded houses, and planted vineyards, And dwelt confidently in My doing judgments, On all those despising them round about, And they have known that I, Jehovah, [am] their God!` |
