| John 9:1 | And when he went on his way, he saw a man blind from birth. | And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. | And Jesus passing by, saw a man, who was blind from his birth: |
| John 9:2 | And his disciples put a question to him, saying, Master, was it because of this man's sin, or the sin of his father and mother, that he has been blind from birth? | And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? | And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? |
