| Exodus 20:1 | And God said all these words: | And God spake all these words, saying, | `And God speaketh all these words, saying, |
| Exodus 20:2 | I am the Lord your God who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house. | I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. | I [am] Jehovah thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants. |
| Exodus 20:3 | You are to have no other gods but me. | Thou shalt have no other gods before me. | `Thou hast no other Gods before Me. |
| Exodus 20:4 | You are not to make an image or picture of anything in heaven or on the earth or in the waters under the earth: | Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: | `Thou dost not make to thyself a graven image, or any likeness which [is] in the heavens above, or which [is] in the earth beneath, or which [is] in the waters under the earth. |
| Exodus 20:5 | You may not go down on your faces before them or give them worship: for I, the Lord your God, am a God who will not give his honour to another; and I will send punishment on the children for the wrongdoing of their fathers, to the third and fourth generation of my haters; | Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; | Thou dost not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I, Jehovah thy God, [am] a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third [generation], and on the fourth, of those hating Me, |
| Exodus 20:6 | And I will have mercy through a thousand generations on those who have love for me and keep my laws. | And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. | and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands. |
| Exodus 20:7 | You are not to make use of the name of the Lord your God for an evil purpose; whoever takes the Lord's name on his lips for an evil purpose will be judged a sinner by the Lord | Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. | `Thou dost not take up the name of Jehovah thy God for a vain thing, for Jehovah acquitteth not him who taketh up His name for a vain thing. |

| Exodus 20:10 | But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on that day you are to do no work, you or your son or your daughter, your man-servant or your woman-servant, your cattle or the man from a strange country who is living among you: | But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: | and the seventh day [is] a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not do any work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and thy cattle, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates, |
| Exodus 20:11 | For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and everything in them, and he took his rest on the seventh day: for this reason the Lord has given his blessing to the seventh day and made it holy. | For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. | for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it. |

| Exodus 20:17 | Let not your desire be turned to your neighbour's house, or his wife or his man-servant or his woman-servant or his ox or his ass or anything which is his. | Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. | `Thou dost not desire the house of thy neighbour, thou dost not desire the wife of thy neighbour, or his man-servant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which [is] thy neighbour`s.` |
| Exodus 20:18 | And all the people were watching the thunderings and the flames and the sound of the horn and the mountain smoking; and when they saw it, they kept far off, shaking with fear. | And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. | And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off, |
| Exodus 20:19 | And they said to Moses, To your words we will give ear, but let not the voice of God come to our ears, for fear death may come on us. | And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. | and say unto Moses, `Speak thou with us, and we hear, and let not God speak with us, lest we die.` |
| Exodus 20:20 | And Moses said to the people, Have no fear: for God has come to put you to the test, so that fearing him you may be kept from sin. | And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. | And Moses saith unto the people, `Fear not, for to try you hath God come, and in order that His fear may be before your faces that ye sin not.` |

| Exodus 20:24 | Make for me an altar of earth, offering on it your burned offerings and your peace-offerings, your sheep and your oxen: in every place where I have put the memory of my name, I will come to you and give you my blessing. | An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. | `An altar of earth thou dost make for Me, and thou hast sacrificed on it thy burnt-offerings and thy peace-offerings, thy flock and thy herd; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered I come in unto thee, and have blessed thee. |
