Matthew 22:1And Jesus, talking to them again in stories, said:Again Jesus spoke to them in figurative language.And Jesus answered and spake again in parables unto them, saying,
Matthew 22:2The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a feast when his son was married,"The Kingdom of the Heavens," He said, "may be compared to a king who celebrated the marriage of his son,The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
Matthew 22:3And sent out his servants to get in the guests to the feast: and they would not come.and sent his servants to call the invited guests to the wedding, but they were unwilling to come.and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the marriage feast: and they would not come.
Matthew 22:4Again he sent out other servants, with orders to say to the guests, See, I have made ready my feast: my oxen and my fat beasts have been put to death, and all things are ready: come to the feast."Again he sent other servants with a message to those who were invited. "`My breakfast is now ready," he said, `my bullocks and fat cattle are killed, and every preparation is made: come to the wedding.'Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden, Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast.
Matthew 22:5But they gave no attention, and went about their business, one to his farm, another to his trade:"They however gave no heed, but went, one to his home in the country, another to his business;But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise;
Matthew 22:6And the rest put violent hands on his servants, and did evil to them, and put them to death.and the rest seized the king's servants, maltreated them, and murdered them.and the rest laid hold on his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
Matthew 22:7But the king was angry; and he sent his armies, and those who had put his servants to death he gave to destruction, burning down their town with fire.So the king's anger was stirred, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burnt their city.But the king was wroth; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
Matthew 22:8Then he said to his servants, The feast is ready but the guests were not good enough.Then he said to his servants, "`The wedding banquet is ready, but those who were invited were unworthy of it.Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they that were bidden were not worthy.
Matthew 22:9Go then to the cross-roads, and get all those whom you see to come to the bride-feast.Go out therefore to the crossroads, and everybody you meet invite to the wedding.'Go ye therefore unto the partings of the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage feast.
Matthew 22:10And those servants went out into the streets, and got together all those whom they came across, bad and good: and the feast was full of guests."So they went out into the roads and gathered together all they could find, both bad and good, and the banqueting hall was filled with guests.And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was filled with guests.
Matthew 22:11But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a guest's robe;"Now the king came in to see the guests; and among them he discovered one who was not wearing a wedding-robe.But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:
Matthew 22:12And he says to him, Friend, how came you in here not having a guest's robe? And he had nothing to say."`My friend,' he said, `how is it that you came in here without a wedding robe?'and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.
Matthew 22:13Then the king said to the servants, Put cords round his hands and feet and put him out into the dark; there will be weeping and cries of sorrow."The man stood speechless. Then the king said to the servants, "`Bind him hand and foot and fling him into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping aloud and the gnashing of teeth.'Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22:16And they sent to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master, we see that you are true, and that you are teaching the true way of God, and have no fear of anyone, because you have no respect for a man's position.So they sent to Him their disciples together with the Herodians; who said, "Teacher, we know that you are truthful and that you faithfully teach God's truth; and that no fear of man misleads you, for you are not biased by men's wealth or rank.And they send to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Matthew 22:17Give us, then, your opinion of this: Is it right to give tax to Caesar, or not?Give us your judgement therefore: is it allowable for us to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?"Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Matthew 22:18But Jesus saw their trick and said, Oh false ones, why are you attempting to put me in the wrong?Perceiving their wickedness, Jesus replied, "Why are you hypocrites trying to ensnare me?But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why make ye trial of me, ye hypocrites?
Matthew 22:19Let me see the tax money. And they gave him a penny.Show me the tribute coin." And they brought Him a shilling.Show me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a denarius.

"Pay therefore," He rejoined, "what is Caesar's to Caesar; and what is God's to God."They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

And they put this case to Him.On that day there came to him Sadducees, they that say that there is no resurrection: and they asked him,
Matthew 22:24Master, Moses said, If a man, at the time of his death, has no children, let his brother take his wife, and get a family for his brother;"Teacher," they said, "Moses enjoined, `If a man die childless, his brother shall marry his widow, and raise up a family for him.'saying, Teacher, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
Matthew 22:25Now there were among us seven brothers; and the first was married and at his death, having no seed, gave his wife to his brother;Now we had among us seven brothers. The eldest of them married, but died childless, leaving his wife to his brother.Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first married and deceased, and having no seed left his wife unto his brother;

Matthew 22:30For when they come back from the dead there are no husbands and wives, but they are as the angels in heaven.For in the Resurrection, men neither marry nor are women given in marriage, but they are like angels in Heaven.For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as angels in heaven.
Matthew 22:31But about the dead coming back to life, have you no knowledge of what was said to you by God in the Writings:But as to the Resurrection of the dead, have you never read what God says to you,But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
