| 1st-Peter 5:1 | I who am myself one of the rulers of the church, and a witness of the death of Christ, having my part in the coming glory, send this serious request to the chief men among you: | So I exhort the Elders among you I who am their fellow Elder and have been an eye-witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and am also a sharer in the glory which is soon to be revealed. | The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: |
| 1st-Peter 5:2 | Keep watch over the flock of God which is in your care, using your authority, not as forced to do so, but gladly; and not for unclean profit but with a ready mind; | Be shepherds of God's flock which is among you. Exercise the oversight not reluctantly but eagerly, in accordance with the will of God; not for base gain but with cheerful minds; | Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; |
| 1st-Peter 5:3 | Not as lords over God's heritage, but making yourselves examples to the flock. | not lording it over your Churches but proving yourselves patterns for the flock to imitate. | Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. |
| 1st-Peter 5:4 | And at the coming of the chief Keeper of the sheep, you will be given the eternal crown of glory. | And then, when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the never-withering wreath of glory. | And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. |

Let all of you put away pride and make yourselves ready to be servants: for God is a hater of pride, but he gives grace to those who make themselves low. | In the same way you younger men must submit to your elders; and all of you must gird yourselves with humility towards one another, for God sets Himself against the proud, but gives grace to the humble. | Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. |

| 1st-Peter 5:9 | Do not give way to him but be strong in your faith, in the knowledge that your brothers who are in the world undergo the same troubles. | Withstand him, firm in your faith; knowing that your brethren in other parts of the world are passing through just the same experiences. | Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. |
| 1st-Peter 5:10 | And after you have undergone pain for a little time, the God of all grace who has given you a part in his eternal glory through Christ Jesus, will himself give you strength and support, and make you complete in every good thing; | And God, the giver of all grace, who has called you to share His eternal glory, through Christ, after you have suffered for a short time, will Himself make you perfect, firm, and strong. | But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. |
