| Revelation 3:1 | And to the angel of the church in Sardis say: These things says he who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: I have knowledge of your works, that you seem to be living but are dead. | "To the minister of the Church at Sardis write as follows: "`This is what He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says. I know your doings you are supposed to be alive, but in reality you are dead. | And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name, that thou livest, and art dead. |
| Revelation 3:2 | Be on the watch, and make strong the rest of the things which are near to death; because as judged by me your works have not come up to God's measure. | Rouse yourself and keep awake, and strengthen those things which remain but have well-nigh perished; for I have found no doings of yours free from imperfection in the sight of My God. | Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. |

If then you do not keep watch, I will come like a thief, and you will have no knowledge of the hour when I will come on you. | Be mindful, therefore, of the lessons you have received and heard.
