Mark 13:1And when he was going out of the Temple, one of his disciples said to him, Master, see, what stones and what buildings!As He was leaving the Temple, one of His disciples exclaimed, "Look, Rabbi, what wonderful stones! what wonderful buildings!"And as he is going forth out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, `Teacher, see! what stones! and what buildings!`
Mark 13:2And Jesus said to him, Do you see these great buildings? there is not one stone here resting on another which will not be overturned."You see all these great buildings?" Jesus replied; "not one stone will be left here upon another not thrown down."and Jesus answering said to him, `Seest thou these great buildings? there may not be left a stone upon a stone, that may not be thrown down.`
Mark 13:3And while he was seated on the Mountain of Olives opposite the Temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew said to him privately,He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite to the Temple, when Peter, James, John, and Andrew, apart from the others asked Him,And as he is sitting at the mount of the Olives, over-against the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, were questioning him by himself,
Mark 13:4Say when these things will be, and what will be the sign when these things are all about to be done."Tell us, When will these things be? and what will be the sign when all these predictions are on the point of being fulfilled?"`Tell us when these things shall be? and what [is] the sign when all these may be about to be fulfilled?`
Mark 13:5And Jesus said to them, Take care that you are not tricked by anyone.So Jesus began to say to them: "Take care that no one misleads you.And Jesus answering them, began to say, `Take heed lest any one may lead you astray,
Mark 13:6People will come in my name, saying, I am he; and a number will be turned from the true way.Many will come assuming my name and saying, `I am He;' and they will mislead many.for many shall come in my name, saying I am [he], and many they shall lead astray;
Mark 13:7And when you have news of wars and talk of wars, do not be troubled; these things have to be, but it is still not the end.But when you hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be alarmed: come they must, but the End is not yet.and when ye may hear of wars and reports of wars, be not troubled, for these behove to be, but the end [is] not yet;
Mark 13:8Nation will go to war with nation, and kingdom with kingdom: there will be earth-shocks in different places; there will be times when there is no food; these things are the first of the troubles.For nation will rise in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These miseries are but like the early pains of childbirth.for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles; beginnings of sorrows [are] these.
Mark 13:9But take care: for they will give you up to the Sanhedrins; and in Synagogues you will be whipped; and you will be taken before rulers and kings because of me, for a sign to them."You yourselves must be on your guard. They will deliver you up to Sanhedrins; you will be brought into synagogues and cruelly beaten; and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to be witnesses to them for me.`And take ye heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrims, and to synagogues, ye shall be beaten, and before governors and kings ye shall be set for my sake, for a testimony to them;
Mark 13:10And the good news has first to be given to all the nations.But the proclamation of the Good News must be carried to all the Gentiles before the End comes.and to all the nations it behoveth first that the good news be proclaimed.
Mark 13:11And when you are taken and given up to be judged, do not be troubled about what to say: but whatever is given to you in that hour, say: because it is not you who say it, but the Holy Spirit.When however they are marching you along under arrest, do not be anxious beforehand about what you are to say, but speak what is given you when the time comes; for it will not be you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.`And when they may lead you, delivering up, be not anxious beforehand what ye may speak, nor premeditate, but whatever may be given to you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye who are speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
Mark 13:12And brother will give up brother to death, and the father his child; and children will go against their fathers and mothers, and put them to death."Brother will betray brother to be killed, and fathers will betray children; and children will rise against their parents and have them put to death.`And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children shall rise up against parents, and shall put them to death,
Mark 13:13And you will be hated by all men, because of my name; but he who goes through to the end will have salvation.You will be objects of universal hatred because you are called by my name, but those who stand firm to the End will be saved.and ye shall be hated by all because of my name, but he who hath endured to the end he shall be saved.
Mark 13:14But when you see the unclean thing which makes destruction, in the place where it has no right to be (let this be clear to the reader), then let those who are in Judaea go quickly to the mountains:"As soon, however, as you see the Abomination of Desolation standing where he ought not" let the reader observe these words "then let those in Judaea escape to the hills;`And when ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (whoever is reading let him understand), then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains;
Mark 13:15And let him who is on the house-top not go down, or go in, to take anything out of his house:let him who is on the roof not come down and enter the house to fetch anything out of it;and he upon the house-top, let him not come down to the house, nor come in to take anything out of his house;
Mark 13:16And let not him who is in the field go back to take his coat.and let not him who is in the field turn back to pick up his outer garment.and he who is in the field, let him not turn to the things behind, to take up his garment.
Mark 13:17And it will be hard for women who are with child and for her who has a baby at the breast in those days.And alas for the women who at that time are with child or have infants!`And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck, in those days;
Mark 13:18And say a prayer that it may not be in the winter."But pray that it may not come in the winter.and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter,
Mark 13:19For in those days there will be sorrow, such as there has not been from the time when God made the world till now, and will not ever be again.For those will be times of suffering the like of which has never been from the first creation of God's world until now, and assuredly never will be again;for those days shall be tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the creation that God created, till now, and may not be;
Mark 13:20And if the Lord had not made the time short, no flesh would have been kept from destruction; but because of the saints he has made the time short.and but for the fact that the Lord has cut short those days, no one would escape; but for the sake of His own People whom He has chosen for Himself He has cut short the days.and if the Lord did not shorten the days, no flesh had been saved; but because of the chosen, whom He did choose to Himself, He did shorten the days.
Mark 13:21And then if any man says to you, See, here is Christ; or, See, there; have no faith in it:"At that time if any one says to you, `See, here is the Christ!' or `See, He is there!' do not believe it.`And then, if any may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ, or, Lo, there, ye may not believe;
Mark 13:22Because there will be false Christs and false prophets, and they will give signs and wonders in the hope of turning even the saints from the true way.For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, displaying signs and prodigies with a view to lead astray if indeed that were possible even God's own People.for there shall rise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall give signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, also the chosen;
Mark 13:23But take care; see, I have made all things clear to you before the time.But as for yourselves, be on your guard: I have forewarned you of everything.and ye, take heed; lo, I have foretold you all things.
Mark 13:24But in those days, after that time of trouble, the sun will be made dark and the moon will not give her light,"At that time, however, after that distress, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not shed her light;`But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mark 13:25And the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers which are in the heavens will be moved.the stars will be seen falling from the firmament, and the forces which are in the heavens will be disordered and disturbed.and the stars of the heaven shall be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.
Mark 13:26And then they will see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory.And then will they see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.`And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in clouds with much power and glory,
Mark 13:27And then he will send out the angels, and will get together his saints from the four winds, from the farthest part of the earth to the farthest part of heaven.Then He will send forth the angels and gather together His chosen People from north, south, east and west, from the remotest parts of the earth and the sky.and then he shall send his messengers, and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the end of the earth unto the end of heaven.
Mark 13:28Take an example from the fig-tree: when its branches become soft and put out their leaves, you see that the summer is near;"Learn from the fig-tree the lesson it teaches. As soon as its branch has become soft and it is bursting into leaf, you know that summer is near.`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: when the branch may already become tender, and may put forth the leaves, ye know that nigh is the summer;
Mark 13:29Even so, when you see these things taking place, you may be certain that he is near, even at the doors.So also do you, when you see these things happening, be sure that He is near, at your very door.so ye, also, when these ye may see coming to pass, ye know that it is nigh, at the doors.
Mark 13:30Truly, I say to you, This generation will not come to an end till all these things are complete.I tell you in solemn truth that the present generation will certainly not pass away without all these things having first taken place.Verily I say to you, that this generation may not pass away till all these things may come to pass;
Mark 13:31Heaven and earth will come to an end, but my words will not come to an end.Earth and sky will pass away, but it is certain that my words will not pass away.the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 13:32But of that day or that hour no one has knowledge, not even the angels in heaven, or the Son, but the Father."But as to that day or the exact time no one knows not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.`And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known not even the messengers who are in the heaven, not even the Son except the Father.
Mark 13:33Take care, keep watch with prayer: for you are not certain when the time will be.Take care, be on the alert, and pray; for you do not know when it will happen.Take heed, watch and pray, for ye have not known when the time is;
Mark 13:34It is as when a man who is in another country for a time, having gone away from his house, and given authority to his servants and to everyone his work, gives the porter an order to keep watch.It is like a man living abroad who has left his house, and given the management to his servants to each one his special duty and has ordered the porter to keep awake.as a man who is gone abroad, having left his house, and given to his servants the authority, and to each one his work, did command also the porter that he may watch;
Mark 13:35So you are to keep watch: because you are not certain when the master of the house is coming, in the evening, or in the middle of the night, or at the cock's cry, or in the morning;Be wakeful therefore, for you know not when the master of the house is coming in the evening, at midnight, at cock-crow, or at dawn.watch ye, therefore, for ye have not known when the lord of the house doth come, at even, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or at the morning;
Mark 13:36For fear that, coming suddenly, he sees you sleeping.Beware lest He should arrive unexpectedly and find you asleep.lest, having come suddenly, he may find you sleeping;
Mark 13:37And what I say to you, I say to all, Keep watch.Moreover, what I say to you I say to all Be wakeful!"and what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.`
