Matthew 22:1And Jesus, talking to them again in stories, said:Again Jesus spoke to them in figurative language.And Jesus answering, again spake to them in similes, saying,
Matthew 22:2The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a feast when his son was married,"The Kingdom of the Heavens," He said, "may be compared to a king who celebrated the marriage of his son,`The reign of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made marriage-feasts for his son,
Matthew 22:3And sent out his servants to get in the guests to the feast: and they would not come.and sent his servants to call the invited guests to the wedding, but they were unwilling to come.and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the marriage-feasts, and they were not willing to come.
Matthew 22:4Again he sent out other servants, with orders to say to the guests, See, I have made ready my feast: my oxen and my fat beasts have been put to death, and all things are ready: come to the feast."Again he sent other servants with a message to those who were invited. "`My breakfast is now ready," he said, `my bullocks and fat cattle are killed, and every preparation is made: come to the wedding.'`Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Lo, my dinner I prepared, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come ye to the marriage-feasts;
Matthew 22:5But they gave no attention, and went about their business, one to his farm, another to his trade:"They however gave no heed, but went, one to his home in the country, another to his business;and they, having disregarded [it], went away, the one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;
Matthew 22:6And the rest put violent hands on his servants, and did evil to them, and put them to death.and the rest seized the king's servants, maltreated them, and murdered them.and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, did insult and slay [them].
Matthew 22:7But the king was angry; and he sent his armies, and those who had put his servants to death he gave to destruction, burning down their town with fire.So the king's anger was stirred, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burnt their city.`And the king having heard, was wroth, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;
Matthew 22:8Then he said to his servants, The feast is ready but the guests were not good enough.Then he said to his servants, "`The wedding banquet is ready, but those who were invited were unworthy of it.then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,
Matthew 22:9Go then to the cross-roads, and get all those whom you see to come to the bride-feast.Go out therefore to the crossroads, and everybody you meet invite to the wedding.'be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as ye may find, call ye to the marriage-feasts.
Matthew 22:10And those servants went out into the streets, and got together all those whom they came across, bad and good: and the feast was full of guests."So they went out into the roads and gathered together all they could find, both bad and good, and the banqueting hall was filled with guests.`And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, did gather all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the marriage-feast apartment was filled with those reclining.
Matthew 22:11But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a guest's robe;"Now the king came in to see the guests; and among them he discovered one who was not wearing a wedding-robe.`And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with clothing of the marriage-feast,
Matthew 22:12And he says to him, Friend, how came you in here not having a guest's robe? And he had nothing to say."`My friend,' he said, `how is it that you came in here without a wedding robe?'and he saith to him, Comrade, how didst thou come in hither, not having clothing of the marriage-feast? and he was speechless.
Matthew 22:13Then the king said to the servants, Put cords round his hands and feet and put him out into the dark; there will be weeping and cries of sorrow."The man stood speechless. Then the king said to the servants, "`Bind him hand and foot and fling him into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping aloud and the gnashing of teeth.'`Then said the king to the ministrants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth to the outer darkness, there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;

Matthew 22:16And they sent to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master, we see that you are true, and that you are teaching the true way of God, and have no fear of anyone, because you have no respect for a man's position.So they sent to Him their disciples together with the Herodians; who said, "Teacher, we know that you are truthful and that you faithfully teach God's truth; and that no fear of man misleads you, for you are not biased by men's wealth or rank.and they send to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, `Teacher, we have known that thou art true, and the way of God in truth thou dost teach, and thou art not caring for any one, for thou dost not look to the face of men;
Matthew 22:17Give us, then, your opinion of this: Is it right to give tax to Caesar, or not?Give us your judgement therefore: is it allowable for us to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?"tell us, therefore, what dost thou think? is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?`
Matthew 22:18But Jesus saw their trick and said, Oh false ones, why are you attempting to put me in the wrong?Perceiving their wickedness, Jesus replied, "Why are you hypocrites trying to ensnare me?And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, `Why me do ye tempt, hypocrites?
Matthew 22:19Let me see the tax money. And they gave him a penny.Show me the tribute coin." And they brought Him a shilling.show me the tribute-coin?` and they brought to him a denary;
