Mark 10:1And he got up, and went into the country of Judaea on the other side of Jordan: and great numbers of people came together to him again; and, as was his way, he gave them teaching.He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he taught them again.And rising up thence he comes into the coasts of Judaea, and the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds come together to him, and, as he was accustomed, again he taught them.
Mark 10:2And Pharisees came to him, testing him with the question, Is it right for a man to put away his wife?There came to him Pharisees testing him, and asked him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"And Pharisees coming to [him] asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away [his] wife? (tempting him).
Mark 10:3And he said to them in answer, What did Moses say you were to do?He answered, "What did Moses command you?"But he answering said to them, What did Moses command you?
Mark 10:4And they said to him, Moses let us give her a statement in writing, and be free from her.They said, "Moses allowed a bill of divorce to be written, and to divorce her."And they said, Moses allowed to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.
Mark 10:5But Jesus said to them, Because of your hard hearts he gave you this law.But Jesus said to them, "For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.And Jesus answering said to them, In view of your hard-heartedness he wrote this commandment for you;
Mark 10:6But from the first, male and female made he them.But from the beginning of the creation, 'God made them male and female.but from [the] beginning of [the] creation God made them male and female.
Mark 10:7For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother, and be joined to his wife;For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united to his wife,
Mark 10:8And the two will become one flesh; so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.and the two will become one flesh,' so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.and the two shall be one flesh: so that they are no longer two but one flesh.
Mark 10:9Let not that which has been joined together by God be parted by man.What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.
Mark 10:10And in the house the disciples put questions to him again about this thing.In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.And again in the house the disciples asked him concerning this.
Mark 10:11And he said to them, Whoever puts away his wife and takes another, is false to his wife;He said to them, "Whoever will divorce his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.And he says to them, Whosoever shall put away his wife and shall marry another, commits adultery against her.
Mark 10:12And if she herself puts away her husband and takes another, she is false to her husband.If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery."And if a woman put away her husband and shall marry another, she commits adultery.
Mark 10:13And they took to him little children, so that he might put his hands on them: and the disciples said sharp words to them.They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.And they brought little children to him that he might touch them. But the disciples rebuked those that brought [them].
Mark 10:14And when Jesus saw it, he was angry, and said to them, Let the little children come to me, and do not keep them away; for of such is the kingdom of God.But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, "Allow the little children to come to me! Don't forbid them, for to such belong the kingdom of God.But Jesus seeing [it], was indignant, and said to them, Suffer the little children to come to me; forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:15Truly I say to you, Whoever does not put himself under the kingdom of God like a little child, will not come into it at all.Most assuredly I tell you, whoever will not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he will in no way enter therein."Verily I say to you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall in no wise enter into it.
Mark 10:16And he took them in his arms, and gave them a blessing, putting his hands on them.He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.And having taken them in his arms, having laid his hands on them, he blessed them.
Mark 10:17And while he was going out into the way, a man came running to him, and went down on his knees, saying, Good Master, what have I to do so that I may have eternal life?As he was going forth into the way, one ran to him, kneeled to him, and asked him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"And as he went forth into the way, a person ran up to [him], and kneeling to him asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Mark 10:18And Jesus said to him, Why do you say I am good? no one is good but one, and that is God.Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except one God.But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? no one is good but one, [that is] God.
Mark 10:19You have knowledge of what is said in the law, Do not put any one to death, Do not be untrue in married life, Do not take what is not yours, Do not give false witness, Do not get money by deceit, Give honour to your father and mother.You know the commandments: 'Do not murder,' 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not give false testimony,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and mother.'"Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.
Mark 10:20And he said to him, Master, all these laws I have kept from the time when I was young.He said to him, "Teacher, all these things have I observed from my youth."And he answering said to him, Teacher, all these things have I kept from my youth.
Mark 10:21And Jesus, looking on him and loving him, said, There is one thing needed: go, get money for your goods, and give it to the poor, and you will have wealth in heaven: and come with me.Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross."And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, One thing lackest thou: go, sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, [taking up the cross].
Mark 10:22But his face became sad at the saying, and he went away sorrowing: for he was one who had much property.But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.But he, sad at the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions.
Mark 10:23And Jesus, looking round about, said to his disciples, How hard it is for those who have wealth to come into the kingdom of God!Jesus looked around, and said to his disciples, "How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into the kingdom of God!"And Jesus looking around says to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24And the disciples were full of wonder at his words. But Jesus said to them again, Children, how hard it is for those who put faith in wealth to come into the kingdom of God!The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, "Children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!And the disciples were amazed at his words. And Jesus again answering says to them, Children, how difficult it is that those who trust in riches should enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:25It is simpler for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a man of wealth to come into the kingdom of God.It is easier for a camel to go through the needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:26And they were greatly surprised, saying to him, Who then may have salvation?They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, "Then who can be saved?"And they were exceedingly astonished, saying to one another, And who can be saved?
Mark 10:27Jesus, looking on them, said, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.Jesus, looking at them, said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God."But Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.
Mark 10:28Peter said to him, See, we have given up everything, and come after you.Peter began to tell him, "Behold, we have left all, and have followed you."Peter began to say to him, Behold, *we* have left all things and have followed thee.
Mark 10:29Jesus said, Truly I say to you, There is no man who has given up house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or land, because of me and the good news,Jesus said, "Most assuredly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the gospel's sake,Jesus answering said, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, [or wife], or children, or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,
Mark 10:30Who will not get a hundred times as much now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and land though with great troubles; and, in the world to come, eternal life.but he will receive one hundred times now in this time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.that shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions, and in the coming age life eternal.
Mark 10:31But a great number who are first will be last: and those who are last will be first.But many who are first will be last; and the last first."But many first shall be last, and the last first.
Mark 10:32And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them: and they were full of wonder; but those who came after him were in fear. And again he took the twelve, and gave them word of the things which were to come on him,They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them; and they were amazed, and were afraid as they followed. And taking the twelve again to [him], he began to tell them what was going to happen to him:
Mark 10:33Saying, See, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be given up to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will give an order for his death, and will give him up to the Gentiles:"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered up to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him up to the nations:
Mark 10:34And they will make sport of him, and put shame on him, and give him cruel blows, and will put him to death; and after three days he will come back from the dead.They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again."and they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.
Mark 10:35And there came to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying to him, Master, will you give us whatever may be our request?James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask."And there come to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying [to him], Teacher, we would that whatsoever we may ask thee, thou wouldst do it for us.
Mark 10:36And he said to them, What would you have me do for you?He said to them, "What do you want me to do for you?"And he said to them, What would ye that I should do for you?
Mark 10:37And they said to him, Let us be seated, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.They said to him, "Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand, and one at your left hand, in your glory."And they said to him, Give to us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left hand, in thy glory.
Mark 10:38But Jesus said to them, You have no knowledge of what you are saying. Are you able to take of my cup? or to undergo the baptism which I am to undergo?But Jesus said to them, "You don't know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"And Jesus said to them, Ye do not know what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup which *I* drink, or be baptised with the baptism that *I* am baptised with?
Mark 10:39And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, You will take of the cup from which I take; and the baptism which I am about to undergo you will undergo:They said to him, "We are able." Jesus said to them, "You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, The cup that *I* drink ye will drink and with the baptism that *I* am baptised with ye will be baptised,
Mark 10:40But to be seated at my right hand or at my left is not for me to give: but it is for those for whom it has been made ready.but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared."but to sit on my right hand or on my left is not mine to give, but for those for whom it is prepared.
Mark 10:41And hearing this, the ten became very angry with James and John.When the ten heard it, they began to be moved with indignation towards James and John.And the ten having heard [of it], began to be indignant about James and John.
Mark 10:42And Jesus made them come to him, and said to them, You see that those who are made rulers over the Gentiles are lords over them, and their great ones have authority over them.Jesus called them to him, and said to them, "You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.But Jesus having called them to [him], says to them, Ye know that those who are esteemed to rule over the nations exercise lordship over them; and their great men exercise authority over them;
Mark 10:43But it is not so among you: but whoever has a desire to become great among you, let him be your servant:But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you, will be your servant.but it is not thus among you; but whosoever would be great among you, shall be your minister;
Mark 10:44And whoever has a desire to be first among you, let him be servant of all.Whoever of you wants to become first among you, shall be servant of all.and whosoever would be first of you shall be bondman of all.
Mark 10:45For truly the Son of man did not come to have servants, but to be a servant, and to give his life for the salvation of men.For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."For also the Son of man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and give his life a ransom for many.
Mark 10:46And they came to Jericho: and when he was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great number of people, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind man, was seated by the wayside, with his hand out for money.They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.And they come to Jericho, and as he was going out from Jericho, and his disciples and a large crowd, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, the blind [man], sat by the wayside begging.
Mark 10:47And when it came to his ears that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he gave a cry, and said, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.When he heard that it was Jesus, the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, "Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!"And having heard that it was Jesus the Nazaraean, he began to cry out and to say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me.
Mark 10:48And some of them, turning in protest, gave him an order to be quiet: but he went on crying out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out the more a great deal, "You son of David, have mercy on me!"And many rebuked him, that he might be silent; but he cried so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mark 10:49And Jesus came to a stop and said, Let him come. And crying out to the blind man, they said to him, Be comforted: come, he has sent for you.Jesus stood still, and said, "Call him." They called the blind man, saying to him, "Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you."And Jesus, standing still, desired him to be called. And they call the blind [man], saying to him, Be of good courage, rise up, he calls thee.
Mark 10:50And he, putting off his coat, got up quickly, and came to Jesus.He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.And, throwing away his garment, he started up and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:51And Jesus said to him, What would you have me do to you? And the blind man said, Master, make me able to see.Jesus answered him, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man said to him, "Rhabboni, that I may see again."And Jesus answering says to him, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And the blind [man] said to him, Rabboni, that I may see.
Mark 10:52And Jesus said to him, Go on your way; your faith has made you well. And straight away he was able to see, and went after him in the way.Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your faith has made you well." Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.And Jesus said to him, Go, thy faith has healed thee. And he saw immediately, and followed him in the way.
