| Matthew 10:23 | But when they are cruel to you in one town, go in flight to another: for truly, I say to you, You will not have gone through the towns of Israel before the Son of man comes. | But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most assuredly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel, until the Son of Man has come. | But when they persecute you in this city, flee to the other; for verily I say to you, Ye shall not have completed the cities of Israel until the Son of man be come. |

| Matthew 10:28 | And have no fear of those who put to death the body, but are not able to put to death the soul. But have fear of him who has power to give soul and body to destruction in hell. | Don't be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. | Matthew 10:37 | He who has more love for his father or mother than for me is not good enough for me; he who has more love for son or daughter than for me is not good enough for me. | He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn't worthy of me. | He who loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me. |
| Matthew 10:38 | And he who does not take his cross and come after me is not good enough for me. | He who doesn't take his cross and follow after me, isn't worthy of me. | And he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. |
| Matthew 10:39 | He who has the desire to keep his life will have it taken from him, and he who gives up his life because of me will have it given back to him. | He who finds his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. | He that finds his life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for my sake shall find it. |
