| 1st-Peter 4:1 | So that as Jesus was put to death in the flesh, do you yourselves be of the same mind; for the death of the flesh puts an end to sin; | Forasmuch then as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; | Christ therefore having suffered in the flesh, be you also armed with the same thought: for he that hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sins: |
| 1st-Peter 4:2 | So that you may give the rest of your lives in the flesh, not to the desires of men, but to the purpose of God. | that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. | That now he may live the rest of his time in the flesh , not after the desires of men, but according to the will of God. |
| 1st-Peter 4:3 | Because for long enough, in times past, we have been living after the way of the Gentiles, given up to the desires of the flesh, to drinking and feasting and loose behaviour and unclean worship of images; | For we have spent enough of our past time living in doing the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries. | For the time past is sufficient to have fulfilled the will of the Gentiles, for them who have walked in riotousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and unlawful worshipping of idols. |
| 1st-Peter 4:4 | And they are wondering that you no longer go with them in this violent wasting of life, and are saying evil things of you: | They think it is strange that you don't run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming: | Wherein they think it strange, that you run not with them into the same confusion of riotousness, speaking evil of you. |

| 1st-Peter 4:10 | Making distribution among one another of whatever has been given to you, like true servants of the unmeasured grace of God; | According as each has received a gift, be ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the grace of God in its various forms. | As every man hath received grace, ministering the same one to another: as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. |
| 1st-Peter 4:11 | If anyone has anything to say, let it be as the words of God; if anyone has the desire to be the servant of others, let him do it in the strength which is given by God; so that in all things God may have the glory through Jesus Christ, whose are the glory and the power for ever. | If any man speaks, let it be as it were oracles of God. If any man serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. | If any man speak, let him speak, as the words of God. If any man minister, let him do it, as of the power, which God administereth: that in all things God may be honoured through Jesus Christ: to whom is glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen. |

| 1st-Peter 4:14 | If men say evil things of you because of the name of Christ, happy are you; for the Spirit of glory and of God is resting on you. | If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified. | If you be reproached for the name of Christ, you shall be blessed: for that which is of the honour, glory, and power of God, and that which is his Spirit, resteth upon you. |
| 1st-Peter 4:15 | Let no one among you undergo punishment as a taker of life, or as a thief, or as an evil-doer, or as one who is over-interested in other men's business; | For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or as a meddler in other men's matters. | But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or a railer, or a coveter of other men's things. |

| 1st-Peter 4:17 | For the time has come for the judging, starting with the church of God; but if it makes a start with us, what will be the end of those who are not under the rule of God? | For the time [has come] for judgment to begin at the house of God. If it begins first at us, what will happen to those who don't obey the gospel of God? | For the time is, that judgment should begin at the house of God. And if first at us, what shall be the end of them that believe not the gospel of God? |
| 1st-Peter 4:18 | And if it is hard for even the good man to get salvation, what chance has the man without religion or the sinner? | "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?" | And if the just man shall scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? |
| 1st-Peter 4:19 | For this reason let those who by the purpose of God undergo punishment, keep on in well-doing and put their souls into the safe hands of their Maker. | Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator. | Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God, commend their souls in good deeds to the faithful Creator. |
