| Romans 4:1 | What, then, may we say that Abraham, our father after the flesh, has got? | What then will we say that Abraham, our forefather, has found according to the flesh? | What shall we then say that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? |
| Romans 4:2 | For if Abraham got righteousness by works, he has reason for pride; but not before God. | For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God. | For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory, but not before God. |
