| Ezekiel 12:1 | And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, | The word of Yahweh also came to me, saying, | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, |
| Ezekiel 12:2 | Son of man, you are living among an uncontrolled people, who have eyes to see but see not, and ears for hearing but they do not give ear; for they are an uncontrolled people. | Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don't see, who have ears to hear, and don't hear; for they are a rebellious house. | `Son of man, in the midst of the rebellious house thou art dwelling, that have eyes to see, and they have not seen; ears they have to hear, and they have not heard; for a rebellious house [are] they. |
| Ezekiel 12:3 | And you, O son of man, by day, before their eyes, get ready the vessels of one who is taken away, and go away from your place to another place before their eyes: it may be that they will see, though they are an uncontrolled people. | Therefore, you son of man, prepare you stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and you shall remove from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house. | And thou, son of man, make to thee vessels of removal, and remove by day before their eyes, and thou hast removed from thy place unto another place before their eyes, it may be they consider, for a rebellious house they [are]. |
| Ezekiel 12:4 | By day, before their eyes, take out your vessels like those of one who is taken away: and go out in the evening before their eyes, like those who are taken away as prisoners. | You shall bring forth your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing; and you shall go forth yourself at even in their sight, as when men go forth into exile. | And thou hast brought forth thy vessels as vessels of removal by day before their eyes, and thou, thou dost go forth at even before their eyes, as the goings forth of a removal. |
| Ezekiel 12:5 | Make a hole in the wall, before their eyes, and go out through it. | Dig you through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby. | Before their eyes dig for thee through the wall, and thou hast brought forth by it. |
| Ezekiel 12:6 | And before their eyes, take your goods on your back and go out in the dark; go with your face covered: for I have made you a sign to the children of Israel. | In their sight shall you bear it on your shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you don't see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel. | Before their eyes on the shoulder thou dost bear, in the darkness thou dost bring forth, thy face thou dost cover, and thou dost not see the earth, for a type I have given thee to the house of Israel.` |
| Ezekiel 12:7 | And I did as I was ordered: I took out my vessels by day, like those of one who is taken away, and in the evening I made a hole through the wall with a tent-pin; and in the dark I went out, taking my things on my back before their eyes. | I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight. | And I do so, as I have been commanded; my vessels I have brought forth as vessels of removal by day, and at even I have dug for me through the wall with the hand; in the darkness I have brought forth, on the shoulder I have borne away, before their eyes. |
| Ezekiel 12:8 | And in the morning the word of the Lord came to me, saying, | In the morning came the word of Yahweh to me, saying, | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, in the morning, saying, |
| Ezekiel 12:9 | Son of man, has not Israel, the uncontrolled people, said to you, What are you doing? | Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What do you? | `Son of man, have they not said unto thee the house of Israel the rebellious house What art thou doing? |
| Ezekiel 12:10 | You are to say to them, This is what the Lord has said: This word has to do with the ruler in Jerusalem and all the children of Israel in it. | Say you to them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: This burden [concerns] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are. | say unto them, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: `The prince [is] this burden in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel who are in their midst. |
| Ezekiel 12:11 | Say, I am your sign: as I have done, so will it be done to them: they will go away as prisoners. | Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity. | Say: I [am] your type; as I have done so it is done to them, into a removal, into a captivity, they do go. |
| Ezekiel 12:12 | And the ruler who is among them will take his goods on his back in the dark and go out: he will make a hole in the wall through which to go out: he will have his face covered so that he may not be seen. | The prince who is among them shall bear on his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes. | As to the prince who [is] in their midst, on the shoulder he beareth in the darkness, and he goeth forth, through the wall they dig to bring forth by it, his face he covereth, that he may not look on the very surface of the land. |
| Ezekiel 12:13 | And my net will be stretched out on him, and he will be taken in my cords: and I will take him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldaeans; but he will not see it, and there death will come to him. | My net also will I spread on him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there. | And I have spread My net for him, and he hath been caught in My snare, and I have brought him in to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, and it he doth not see and there doth he die. |
| Ezekiel 12:14 | And all his helpers round about him and all his armies I will send in flight to every wind; and I will let loose a sword after them. | I will scatter toward every wind all who are round about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. | `And all who are round about him to help him, and all his bands, I do scatter to every wind, and a sword I draw out after them. |
| Ezekiel 12:15 | And they will be certain that I am the Lord, when I send them in flight among the nations, driving them out through the countries. | They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries. | And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, in My scattering them among nations, and I have spread them through lands; |
| Ezekiel 12:16 | But a small number of them I will keep from the sword, from the need of food, and from disease, so that they may make clear all their disgusting ways among the nations where they come; and they will be certain that I am the Lord. | But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. | and I have left of them, a few in number, from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence, so that they recount all their abominations among the nations whither they have come, and they have known that I [am] Jehovah.` |
| Ezekiel 12:17 | Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, | Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, |
| Ezekiel 12:18 | Son of man, take your food with shaking fear, and your water with trouble and care; | Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness; | `Son of man, thy bread in haste thou dost eat, and thy water with trembling and with fear thou dost drink; |
| Ezekiel 12:19 | And say to the people of the land, This is what the Lord has said about the people of Jerusalem and the land of Israel: They will take their food with care and their drink with wonder, so that all the wealth of their land may be taken from it because of the violent ways of the people living in it. | and tell the people of the land, Thus says the Lord Yahweh concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, [and despoiled] of all that is therein, because of the violence of all those who dwell therein. | and thou hast said unto the people of the land, Thus said the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, concerning the land of Israel: Their bread with fear they do eat, and their water with astonishment drink, because its land is desolate, because of its fulness, because of the violence of all who are dwelling in it. |
| Ezekiel 12:20 | And the peopled towns will be made waste, and the land will become a wonder; and you will be certain that I am the Lord. | The cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and you shall know that I am Yahweh. | And the cities that are inhabited are laid waste, and the land is a desolation, and ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.` |
| Ezekiel 12:21 | And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, | The word of Yahweh came to me, saying, | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, |
| Ezekiel 12:22 | Son of man, what is this saying which you have about the land of Israel, The time is long and every vision comes to nothing? | Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails? | `Son of man, what [is] this simile to you, concerning the land of Israel, saying, Prolonged are the days, and perished hath every vision? |
| Ezekiel 12:23 | For this cause say to them, This is what the Lord has said: I have made this saying come to an end, and it will no longer be used as a common saying in Israel; but say to them, The days are near, and the effect of every vision. | Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but tell them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision. | therefore say unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have caused this simile to cease, And they use it not as a simile again in Israel, But speak to them: Drawn near have the days, And spoken hath every vision. |
| Ezekiel 12:24 | For there will be no more false visions or smooth use of secret arts in Israel. | For there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. | For there is no more any vain vision, and flattering divination, In the midst of the house of Israel. |
| Ezekiel 12:25 | For I am the Lord; I will say the word and what I say I will do; it will not be put off: for in your days, O uncontrolled people, I will say the word and do it, says the Lord. | For I am Yahweh; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, says the Lord Yahweh. | For I [am] Jehovah, I speak, The word that I speak it is done, It is not prolonged any more, For, in your days, O rebellious house, I speak a word, and I have done it, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.` |

| Ezekiel 12:27 | Son of man, see, the children of Israel say, The vision which he sees is for the days which are a long way off, and his words are of times still far away. | Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for many day to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off. | `Son of man, lo, the house of Israel are saying, The vision that he is seeing [is] for many days, and of times far off he is prophesying, |
| Ezekiel 12:28 | Say to them then, This is what the Lord has said: Not one of my words will be put off any longer, but what I say I will do, says the Lord. | Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, says the Lord Yahweh. | therefore say unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: None of my words are prolonged any more, When I speak a word it is done, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!` |
