Genesis 25:1And Abraham took another wife named Keturah.And Abraham addeth and taketh a wife, and her name [is] Keturah;And Abraham took another wife named Keturah.
Genesis 25:2She became the mother of Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.and she beareth to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.And she bore him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
Genesis 25:3And Jokshan became the father of Sheba and Dedan. And from Dedan came the Asshurim and Letushim and Leummim.And Jokshan hath begotten Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim;And Jokshan begot Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were the Asshurim, and the Letushim, and the Leummim.
Genesis 25:4And from Midian came Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah. All these were the offspring of Keturah.and the sons of Midian [are] Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah: all these [are] sons of Keturah.And the sons of Midian were Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.
Genesis 25:5Now Abraham gave all his property to Isaac;And Abraham giveth all that he hath to Isaac;And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.
Genesis 25:6But to the sons of his other women he gave offerings, and sent them away, while he was still living, into the east country.and to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham hath, Abraham hath given gifts, and sendeth them away from Isaac his son (in his being yet alive) eastward, unto the east country.And to the sons of the concubines that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and, while he yet lived, sent them away from Isaac his son, eastward to the east country.
Genesis 25:7Now the years of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five.And these [are] the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lived, a hundred and seventy and five years;And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived: a hundred and seventy-five years.
Genesis 25:8And Abraham came to his death, an old man, full of years; and he was put to rest with his people.and Abraham expireth, and dieth in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and is gathered unto his people.And Abraham expired and died in a good old age, old and full [of days]; and was gathered to his peoples.
Genesis 25:9And Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, put him to rest in the hollow rock of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, near Mamre;And Isaac and Ishmael his sons bury him at the cave of Machpelah, at the field of Ephron, son of Zoar the Hittite, which [is] before MamreAnd his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which was opposite to Mamre
Genesis 25:10The same field which Abraham got from the children of Heth: there Abraham was put to rest with Sarah, his wife.the field which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth there hath Abraham been buried, and Sarah his wife.the field that Abraham had purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
Genesis 25:11Now after the death of Abraham, the blessing of God was with Isaac, his son.And it cometh to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blesseth Isaac his son; and Isaac dwelleth by the Well of the Living One, my Beholder.And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at Beer-lahai-roi.
Genesis 25:12Now these are the generations of Ishmael, the son of Abraham, whose mother was Hagar the Egyptian, the servant of Sarah:And these [are] births of Ishmael, Abraham`s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah`s handmaid, hath borne to Abraham;And these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's bondwoman, bore to Abraham.
Genesis 25:13These are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their generations: Ishmael's first son was Nebaioth; then Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsamand these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their births: first-born of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their names according to their generations: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
Genesis 25:14And Mishma and Dumah and Massa,and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
Genesis 25:15Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedmah.
Genesis 25:16These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names in their towns and their tent-circles; twelve chiefs with their peoples.these are sons of Ishmael, and these their names, by their villages, and by their towers; twelve princes according to their peoples.These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, in their hamlets and their encampments twelve princes of their peoples.
Genesis 25:17And the years of Ishmael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven: and he came to his end, and was put to rest with his people.And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years; and he expireth, and dieth, and is gathered unto his people;And these are the years of the life of Ishmael: a hundred and thirty-seven years; and he expired and died, and was gathered to his peoples.
Genesis 25:18And their country was from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt: they took their place to the east of all their brothers.and they tabernacle from Havilah unto Shur, which [is] before Egypt, in [thy] going towards Asshur; in the presence of all his brethren hath he fallen.And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite to Egypt, as one goes towards Assyria. He settled before the face of all his brethren.
Genesis 25:19Now these are the generations of Abraham's son Isaac:And these [are] births of Isaac, Abraham`s son: Abraham hath begotten Isaac;And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son. Abraham begot Isaac.
Genesis 25:20Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean of Paddan-aram, and the sister of Laban the Aramaean, to be his wife.and Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramaean, to him for a wife.And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebecca as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian.
Genesis 25:21Isaac made prayer to the Lord for his wife because she had no children; and the Lord gave ear to his prayer, and Rebekah became with child.And Isaac maketh entreaty to Jehovah before his wife, for she [is] barren: and Jehovah is entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiveth,And Isaac entreated Jehovah for his wife, because she was barren; and Jehovah was entreated of him, and Rebecca his wife conceived.
Genesis 25:22And the children were fighting together inside her, and she said, If it is to be so, why am I like this? So she went to put her question to the Lord.and the children struggle together within her, and she saith, `If [it is] right why [am] I thus?` and she goeth to seek Jehovah.And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of Jehovah.
Genesis 25:23And the Lord said to her, Two nations are in your body, and two peoples will come to birth from you: the one will be stronger than the other, and the older will be the servant of the younger.And Jehovah saith to her, `Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two peoples from thy bowels are parted; and the [one] people than the [other] people is stronger; and the elder doth serve the younger.`And Jehovah said to her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels; And one people shall be stronger than the other people, And the elder shall serve the younger.
Genesis 25:24And when the time came for her to give birth, there were two children in her body.And her days to bear are fulfilled, and lo, twins [are] in her womb;And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
Genesis 25:25And the first came out red from head to foot like a robe of hair, and they gave him the name of Esau.and the first cometh out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;And the first came out red all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
Genesis 25:26And after him, his brother came out, gripping Esau's foot; and he was named Jacob: Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.and afterwards hath his brother come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau`s heel, and one calleth his name Jacob; and Isaac [is] a son of sixty years in her bearing them.And after that came his brother out; and his hand took hold of Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was sixty years old when they were born.
Genesis 25:27And the boys came to full growth; and Esau became a man of the open country, an expert bowman; but Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.And the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted [with] hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob [is] a plain man, inhabiting tents;And the boys grew, and Esau became a man skilled in hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob was a homely man, dwelling in tents.
Genesis 25:28Now Isaac's love was for Esau, because Esau's meat was greatly to his taste: but Rebekah had more love for Jacob.and Isaac loveth Esau, for [his] hunting [is] in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.And Isaac loved Esau, because venison was to his taste; and Rebecca loved Jacob.
Genesis 25:29And one day Jacob was cooking some soup when Esau came in from the fields in great need of food;And Jacob boileth pottage, and Esau cometh in from the field, and he [is] weary;And Jacob had cooked a dish; and Esau came from the field, and he was faint.
Genesis 25:30And Esau said to Jacob, Give me a full meal of that red soup, for I am overcome with need for food: for this reason he was named Edom.and Esau saith unto Jacob, `Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I [am] weary;` therefore hath [one] called his name Edom [Red];And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with the red the red thing there, for I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.
Genesis 25:31And Jacob said, First of all give me your birthright.and Jacob saith, `Sell to-day thy birthright to me.`And Jacob said, Sell me now thy birthright.
Genesis 25:32And Esau said, Truly, I am at the point of death: what profit is the birthright to me?And Esau saith, `Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me birthright?`And Esau said, Behold, I am going to die, and of what use can the birthright be to me?
Genesis 25:33And Jacob said, First of all give me your oath; and he gave him his oath, handing over his birthright to Jacob.and Jacob saith, `Swear to me to-day:` and he sweareth to him, and selleth his birthright to Jacob;And Jacob said, Swear unto me now. And he swore unto him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
Genesis 25:34Then Jacob gave him bread and soup; and he took food and drink and went away, caring little for his birthright.and Jacob hath given to Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he eateth, and drinketh, and riseth, and goeth; and Esau despiseth the birthright.And Jacob gave Esau bread and the dish of lentils; and he ate and drank, and rose up and went away. Thus Esau despised the birthright.
