| Luke 18:1 | And he made a story for them, the point of which was that men were to go on making prayer and not get tired; | And he spake also a simile to them, that it behoveth [us] always to pray, and not to faint, | And he spoke also a parable to them to the purport that they should always pray and not faint, |
| Luke 18:2 | Saying, There was a judge in a certain town, who had no fear of God or respect for man: | saying, `A certain judge was in a certain city God he is not fearing, and man he is not regarding | saying, There was a judge in a city, not fearing God and not respecting man: |
| Luke 18:3 | And there was a widow in that town, and she kept on coming to him and saying, Give me my right against the man who has done me wrong. | and a widow was in that city, and she was coming unto him, saying, Do me justice on my opponent, | and there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of mine adverse party. |
| Luke 18:4 | And for a time he would not: but later, he said to himself, Though I have no fear of God or respect for man, | and he would not for a time, but after these things he said in himself, Even if God I do not fear, and man do not regard, | And he would not for a time; but afterwards he said within himself, If even I fear not God and respect not man, |
| Luke 18:5 | Because this widow is a trouble to me, I will give her her right; for if not, I will be completely tired out by her frequent coming. | yet because this widow doth give me trouble, I will do her justice, lest, perpetually coming, she may plague me.` | at any rate because this widow annoys me I will avenge her, that she may not by perpetually coming completely harass me. |
| Luke 18:6 | And the Lord said, Give ear to the words of the evil judge. | And the Lord said, `Hear ye what the unrighteous judge saith: | And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says. |
| Luke 18:7 | And will not God do right in the cause of his saints, whose cries come day and night to his ears, though he is long in doing it? | and shall not God execute the justice to His choice ones, who are crying unto Him day and night bearing long in regard to them? | And shall not God at all avenge his elect, who cry to him day and night, and he bears long as to them? |

But when the Son of man comes, will there be any faith on earth? | I say to you, that He will execute the justice to them quickly; but the Son of Man having come, shall he find the faith upon the earth?` | I say unto you that he will avenge them speedily. | Luke 18:11 | The Pharisee, taking up his position, said to himself these words: God, I give you praise because I am not like other men, who take more than their right, who are evil-doers, who are untrue to their wives, or even like this tax-farmer. | the Pharisee having stood by himself, thus prayed: God, I thank Thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer; | The Pharisee, standing, prayed thus to himself: God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer. |

| Luke 18:36 | And hearing the sound of a great number of people going by, he said, What is this? | and having heard a multitude going by, he was inquiring what this may be, | And when he heard the crowd passing, he inquired what this might be. |
