Matthew 24:1 | And Jesus went out of the Temple, and on the way his disciples came to him, pointing out the buildings of the Temple. | And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple, | And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. |
Matthew 24:2 | But he, answering, said to them, See you not all these things? truly I say to you that here there will not be one stone resting on another, which will not be pulled down. | and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.` | And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
Matthew 24:3 | And while he was seated on the Mountain of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Make clear to us, when will these things be? and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world? | And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?` | And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? |
Matthew 24:4 | And Jesus said to them in answer, Take care that you are not tricked. | And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray, | And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. |
Matthew 24:5 | For people will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and a number will be turned from the true way through them. | for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray, | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. |
Matthew 24:6 | And news will come to you of wars and talk of wars: do not be troubled, for these things have to be; but it is still not the end. | and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet. | And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. |
Matthew 24:7 | For nation will be moved against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and men will be without food, and the earth will be shaking in different places; | `For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places; | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. |
Matthew 24:8 | But all these things are the first of the troubles. | and all these [are] the beginning of sorrows; | All these are the beginning of sorrows. |
Matthew 24:9 | Then they will be cruel to you, and will put you to death: and you will be hated by all nations because of my name. | then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name; | Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. |
Matthew 24:10 | And numbers of people will be turned from the right way, and will give one another up and have hate for one another. | and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. | And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. |
Matthew 24:11 | And a number of false prophets will come, causing error. | `And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray; | And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. |
Matthew 24:12 | And because wrongdoing will be increased, the love of most people will become cold. | and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold; | And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. |
Matthew 24:13 | But he who goes through to the end will get salvation. | but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved; | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
Matthew 24:14 | And this good news of the kingdom will be given through all the world for a witness to all nations; and then the end will come. | and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive. | And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. |
Matthew 24:15 | When, then, you see in the holy place the unclean thing which makes destruction, of which word was given by Daniel the prophet (let this be clear to the reader), | `Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe) | When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) |
Matthew 24:16 | Then let those who are in Judaea go in flight to the mountains: | then those in Judea let them flee to the mounts; | Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: |
Matthew 24:17 | Let not him who is on the house-top go down to take anything out of his house: | he on the house-top let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house; | Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: |
Matthew 24:18 | And let not him who is in the field go back to get his coat. | and he in the field let him not turn back to take his garments. | Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. |
Matthew 24:19 | But it will be hard for women who are with child and for those with babies at the breast in those days. | `And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days; | And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! |
Matthew 24:20 | And say a prayer that your flight may not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. | and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath; | But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: |
Matthew 24:21 | Because in those days there will be great sorrow, such as there has not been from the start of the world till now, or ever will be. | for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be. | For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. |
Matthew 24:22 | And if those days had not been made short there would have been no salvation for any, but because of the saints those days will be made short. | And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened. | And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. |
Matthew 24:23 | Then if any man says to you, See, here is the Christ, or, Here; do not put faith in him; | `Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ! or here! ye may not believe; | Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. |
Matthew 24:24 | For there will come up false Christs, and false prophets, who will do great signs and wonders; so that if possible even the saints might be tricked. | for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen. | For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. |
Matthew 24:25 | See, I have made it clear to you before it comes about. | Lo, I did tell you beforehand. | Behold, I have told you before. |
Matthew 24:26 | If, then, they say to you, See, he is in the waste land; go not out: See, he is in the inner rooms; put no faith in it. | `If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe; | Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. |
Matthew 24:27 | Because as in a thunderstorm the bright light coming from the east is seen even in the west; so will be the coming of the Son of man. | for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man; | For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
Matthew 24:28 | Wherever the dead body is, there will the eagles come together. | for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together. | For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. |
Matthew 24:29 | But straight away, after the trouble of those days, the sun will be made dark and the moon will not give her light and the stars will come down from heaven and the powers of heaven will be moved: | `And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken; | Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: |
Matthew 24:30 | And then the sign of the Son of man will be seen in heaven: and then all the nations of the earth will have sorrow, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. | and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory; | And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. |

Matthew 24:33 | Even so, when you see all these things, you may be certain that he is near, even at the doors. | so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh at the doors. | So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. |
Matthew 24:34 | Truly I say to you, This generation will not come to an end till all these things are complete. | Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass. | Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. |
Matthew 24:35 | Heaven and earth will come to an end, but my words will not come to an end. | The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. | Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. |
Matthew 24:36 | But of that day and hour no one has knowledge, not even the angels in heaven, or the Son, but the Father only. | `And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known not even the messengers of the heavens except my Father only; | But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. |
Matthew 24:37 | And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. | and as the days of Noah so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man; | But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |

Matthew 24:43 | But be certain of this, that if the master of the house had had knowledge of the time when the thief was coming, he would have been watching, and would not have let his house be broken into. | and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through; | But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. |
Matthew 24:44 | Be ready then; for at a time which you have no thought of the Son of man will come. | because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come. | Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
Matthew 24:45 | Who is the true and wise servant, whom his lord has put over those in his house, to give them their food at the right time? | `Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season? | Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? |
Matthew 24:46 | A blessing on that servant, who will be doing so when his lord comes. | Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so; | Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. |
Matthew 24:47 | Truly, I say to you, he will put him over all he has. | verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him. | Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. |
Matthew 24:48 | But if that evil servant says in his heart, My lord is a long time in coming; | `And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come, | But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; |
Matthew 24:49 | And is cruel to the other servants, taking his pleasure with those who are overcome with wine; | and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken, | And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; |
Matthew 24:50 | The lord of that servant will come in a day when he is not looking for him, and in an hour of which he has no knowledge, | the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know, | The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, |
