| 1st-John 5:1 | Everyone who has faith that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God: and everyone who has love for the Father has love for his child. | Every one who is believing that Jesus is the Christ, of God he hath been begotten, and every one who is loving Him who did beget, doth love also him who is begotten of Him: | Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the father also loves the child who is born of him. |
| 1st-John 5:2 | In this way, we are certain that we have love for the children of God, when we have love for God and keep his laws. | in this we know that we love the children of God, when we may love God, and His commands may keep; | By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments. |
