Hebrews 3:1 | Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of [the] heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus, | Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, [even] Jesus; | Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly vocation, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Jesus: |
Hebrews 3:2 | who is faithful to him that has constituted him, as Moses also in all his house. | who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house. | Who is faithful to him that made him, as was also Moses in all his house. |
Hebrews 3:3 | For *he* has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by how much he that has built it has more honour than the house. | For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house. | For this man was counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by so much as he that hath built the house, hath greater honour than the house. |
Hebrews 3:4 | For every house is built by some one; but he who has built all things [is] God. | For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God. | For every house is built by some man: but he that created all things, is God. |
Hebrews 3:5 | And Moses indeed [was] faithful in all his house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken after; | And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken; | And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said: |
Hebrews 3:6 | but Christ, as Son over his house, whose house are *we*, if indeed we hold fast the boldness and the boast of hope firm to the end. | but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end. | But Christ as the Son in his own house: which house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and glory of hope unto the end. |
Hebrews 3:7 | Wherefore, even as says the Holy Spirit, To-day if ye will hear his voice, | Wherefore, even as the Holy Spirit saith, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, | Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost saith: To day if you shall hear his voice, |
Hebrews 3:8 | harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness; | Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, Like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness, | Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation; in the day of temptation in the desert, |
Hebrews 3:9 | where your fathers tempted [me], by proving [me], and saw my works forty years. | Where your fathers tried [me] by proving [me,] And saw my works forty years. | Where your fathers tempted me, proved and saw my works, |
Hebrews 3:10 | Wherefore I was wroth with this generation, and said, They always err in heart; and *they* have not known my ways; | Wherefore I was displeased with this generation, And said, They do always err in their heart: But they did not know my ways; | Forty years: for which cause I was offended with this generation, and I said: They always err in heart. And they have not known my ways, |
Hebrews 3:11 | so I swore in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest. | As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest. | As I have sworn in my wrath: If they shall enter into my rest. |
Hebrews 3:12 | See, brethren, lest there be in any one of you a wicked heart of unbelief, in turning away from [the] living God. | Take heed, brethren, lest haply there shall be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God: | Take heed, brethren, lest perhaps there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, to depart from the living God. |
Hebrews 3:13 | But encourage yourselves each day, as long as it is called To-day, that none of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. | but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called To-day; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin: | But exhort one another every day, whilst it is called to day, that none of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. |
Hebrews 3:14 | For we are become companions of the Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end; | for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end: | For we are made partakers of Christ: yet so, if we hold the beginning of his substance firm unto the end. |
Hebrews 3:15 | in that it is said, To-day if ye will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation; | while it is said, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. | While it is said, To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in that provocation. |
Hebrews 3:16 | (for who was it, who, having heard, provoked? but [was it] not all who came out of Egypt by Moses? | For who, when they heard, did provoke? nay, did not all they that came out of Egypt by Moses? | For some who heard did provoke: but not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. |
Hebrews 3:17 | And with whom was he wroth forty years? [Was it] not with those who had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? | And with whom was he displeased forty years? was it not with them that sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? | And with whom was he offended forty years? Was it not with them that sinned, whose carcasses were overthrown in the desert? |
Hebrews 3:18 | And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who had not hearkened to the word? | And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that were disobedient? | And to whom did he swear, that they should not enter into his rest: but to them that were incredulous? |
Hebrews 3:19 | And we see that they could not enter in on account of unbelief;) | And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief. | And we see that they could not enter in, because of unbelief. |
