Romans 15:1But *we* ought, we that are strong, to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Romans 15:2Let each one of us please his neighbour with a view to what is good, to edification.Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Romans 15:3For the Christ also did not please himself; but according as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me.For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
Romans 15:4For as many things as have been written before have been written for our instruction, that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:5Now the God of endurance and of encouragement give to you to be like-minded one toward another, according to Christ Jesus;Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus: Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Romans 15:6that ye may with one accord, with one mouth, glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:7Wherefore receive ye one another, according as the Christ also has received you to [the] glory of God.Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Romans 15:8For I say that Jesus Christ became a minister of [the] circumcision for [the] truth of God, to confirm the promises of the fathers;For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises [given] unto the fathers, Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
Romans 15:9and that the nations should glorify God for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among [the] nations, and will sing to thy name.and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name. And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
Romans 15:10And again he says, Rejoice, nations, with his people.And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
Romans 15:11And again, Praise the Lord, all [ye] nations, and let all the peoples laud him.And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
Romans 15:12And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over [the] nations: in him shall [the] nations hope.And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope. And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
Romans 15:13Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by [the] power of [the] Holy Spirit.Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:14But I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Romans 15:15But I have written to you the more boldly, [brethren,] in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me by God,But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God, Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
Romans 15:16for me to be minister of Christ Jesus to the nations, carrying on as a sacrificial service the [message of] glad tidings of God, in order that the offering up of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by [the] Holy Spirit.that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:17I have therefore [whereof to] boast in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God. I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
Romans 15:18For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for [the] obedience of [the] nations, by word and deed,For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed, For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
Romans 15:19in [the] power of signs and wonders, in [the] power of [the] Spirit of God; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circuit round to Illyricum, have fully preached the glad tidings of the Christ;in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ; Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
Romans 15:20and so aiming to announce the glad tidings, not where Christ has been named, that I might not build upon another's foundation;yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation; Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
Romans 15:21but according as it is written, To whom there was nothing told concerning him, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.but, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand. But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
Romans 15:22Wherefore also I have been often hindered from coming to you.Wherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you: For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.
Romans 15:23But now, having no longer place in these regions, and having great desire to come to you these many years,but now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you, But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
Romans 15:24whenever I should go to Spain; (for I hope to see you as I go through, and by you to be set forward thither, if first I shall have been in part filled with your company;)whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)-- Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
Romans 15:25but now I go to Jerusalem, ministering to the saints;but now, I [say], I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints. But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
Romans 15:26for Macedonia and Achaia have been well pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor of the saints who [are] in Jerusalem.For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem. For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
Romans 15:27They have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them.Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things. It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
Romans 15:28Having finished this therefore, and having sealed to them this fruit, I will set off by you into Spain.When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain. When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
Romans 15:29But I know that, coming to you, I shall come in [the] fulness of [the] blessing of Christ.And I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ. And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
Romans 15:30But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers for me to God;Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
Romans 15:31that I may be saved from those that do not believe in Judaea; and that my ministry which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;that I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and [that] my ministration which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
Romans 15:32in order that I may come to you in joy by God's will, and that I may be refreshed with you.that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest. That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
Romans 15:33And the God of peace be with you all. Amen.Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
