| Hebrews 9:1 | The first therefore also indeed had ordinances of service, and the sanctuary, a worldly one. | Now even a first [covenant] had ordinances of divine service, and its sanctuary, [a sanctuary] of this world. | Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. |
| Hebrews 9:2 | For a tabernacle was set up; the first, in which [were] both the candlestick and the table and the exposition of the loaves, which is called Holy; | For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein [were] the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the Holy place. | For there was a tabernacle made; the first, in which was the candlestick, and the table, and the show-bread; which is called the sanctuary. |
