| Genesis 4:1 | And Man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have acquired a man with Jehovah. | And the man had connection with Eve his wife, and she became with child and gave birth to Cain, and said, I have got a man from the Lord. | And the man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man with [the help of] Jehovah. |
| Genesis 4:2 | And she further bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a shepherd, but Cain was a husbandman. | Then again she became with child and gave birth to Abel, his brother. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a farmer. | And again she bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. |

| Genesis 4:7 | If thou doest well, will not [thy countenance] look up [with confidence]? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door; and unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. | If you do well, will you not have honour? and if you do wrong, sin is waiting at the door, desiring to have you, but do not let it be your master. | If thou doest well, shall it not be lifted up? and if thou doest not well, sin coucheth at the door: and unto thee shall be its desire, but do thou rule over it. |
