John 20:6 | Simon Peter therefore comes, following him, and entered into the tomb, and sees the linen cloths lying, | Then Simon Peter came after him and went into the hole in the rock; and he saw the linen bands on the earth, | Then cometh Simon Peter, following him, and went into the sepulchre, and saw the linen cloths lying, |
John 20:7 | and the handkerchief which was upon his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded up in a distinct place by itself. | And the cloth, which had been round his head, not with the linen bands but rolled up in a place by itself. | And the napkin that had been about his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but apart, wrapped up into one place. |
John 20:8 | Then entered in therefore the other disciple also who came first to the tomb, and he saw and believed; | Then the other disciple who came there first went in; and he saw and belief came to him. | Then that other disciple also went in, who came first to the sepulchre: and he saw, and believed. |
John 20:9 | for they had not yet known the scripture, that he must rise from among [the] dead. | For at that time they had no knowledge that the Writings said that he would have to come again from the dead. | For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. |

John 20:13 | And they say to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. | They said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I have no knowledge where they have put him. | They say to her: Woman, why weepest thou? She saith to them: Because they have taken away my Lord; and I know not where they have laid him. |
John 20:14 | Having said these things she turned backward and beholds Jesus standing [there], and knew not that it was Jesus. | And then looking round, she saw Jesus there, but had no idea that it was Jesus. | When she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing; and she knew not that it was Jesus. |
John 20:15 | Jesus says to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? Whom seekest thou? She, supposing that it was the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. | Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? who are you looking for? She, taking him for the gardener, said to him, Sir, if you have taken him away from here, say where you have put him and I will take him away. | Jesus saith to her: Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, thinking it was the gardener, saith to him: Sir, if thou hast taken him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. |

John 20:17 | Jesus says to her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and [to] my God and your God. | Jesus said to her, Do not put your hand on me, for I have not gone up to the Father: but go to my brothers and say to them, I go up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. | Jesus saith to her: Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren, and say to them: I ascend to my Father and to your Father, to my God and your God. |
John 20:18 | Mary of Magdala comes bringing word to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] he had said these things to her. | Mary Magdalene went with the news to the disciples, and said she had seen the Lord and that he had said these things to her. | Mary Magdalen cometh, and telleth the disciples: I have seen the Lord, and these things he said to me. |
John 20:19 | When therefore it was evening on that day, which was the first [day] of the week, and the doors shut where the disciples were, through fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace [be] to you. | At evening on that day, the first day of the week, when, for fear of the Jews, the doors were shut where the disciples were, Jesus came among them and said to them, May peace be with you! | Now when it was late that same day, the first of the week, and the doors were shut, where the disciples were gathered together, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them: Peace be to you. |

As the Father sent me, even so I now send you. | He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you. |
John 20:22 | And having said this, he breathed into [them], and says to them, Receive [the] Holy Spirit: | And when he had said this, breathing on them, he said to them, Let the Holy Spirit come on you: | When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost. |
John 20:23 | whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted to them; whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained. | Any to whom you give forgiveness, will be made free from their sins; and any from whom you keep back forgiveness, will still be in their sins. | Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. |
John 20:24 | But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. | Now Thomas, one of the twelve, named Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. | Now Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. |
John 20:25 | The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. | So the other disciples said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, If I do not see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails, and if I do not put my hand into his side, I will never have belief. | The other disciples therefore said to him: We have seen the Lord. But he said to them: Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. |
John 20:26 | And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace [be] to you. | And after eight days, his disciples were again in the house and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were shut, Jesus came, and taking his place in the middle of them, he said, May peace be with you! | And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said: Peace be to you. |
John 20:27 | Then he says to Thomas, Bring thy finger here and see my hands; and bring thy hand and put it into my side; and be not unbelieving, but believing. | Then he said to Thomas, Put out your finger, and see my hands; and put your hand here into my side: and be no longer in doubt but have belief. | Then he saith to Thomas: Put in thy finger hither, and see my hands; and bring hither thy hand, and put it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing. |

John 20:31 | but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name. | But these are recorded, so that you may have faith that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and so that, having this faith you may have life in his name. | But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name. |
