Numbers 33:1

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt in their armies, under the direction of Moses and Aaron.

These are the mansions of the children of Israel, who went out of Egypt by their troops under the conduct of Moses and Aaron,

Numbers 33:2

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah; and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

And the stages of their journey on their way out were put down in writing by Moses at the order of the Lord: these are the stages of their journey and the way they went.

Which Moses wrote down according to the places of their encamping, which they changed by the commandment of the Lord.

Numbers 33:3

They journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

On the fifteenth day of the first month they went out from Rameses; on the day after the Passover the children of Israel went out by the power of the Lord before the eyes of all the Egyptians,

Now the children of Israel departed from Ramesses the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the phase, with a mighty hand, in the eight of all the Egyptians,

Numbers 33:4

And the Egyptians buried those whom Jehovah had smitten among them, all the firstborn; and upon their gods Jehovah executed judgments.

While the Egyptians were placing in the earth the bodies of their sons on whom the Lord had sent destruction: and their gods had been judged by him.

Who were burying their firstborn, whom the Lord had slain (upon their gods also he had executed vengeance,)

Numbers 33:5

And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

So the children of Israel went from Rameses and put up their tents in Succoth.

And they camped in Soccoth.

Numbers 33:6

And they removed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is at the end of the wilderness.

And they went on from Succoth and put up their tents in Etham on the edge of the waste land.

And from Soccoth they came into Etham, which is in the uttermost borders of the wilderness.

Numbers 33:7

And they removed from Etham, and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.

And from Etham, turning back to Pi-hahiroth which is before Baal-zephon, they put up their tents before Migdol.

Departing from thence they came over against Phihahiroth, which looketh towards Beelsephon, and they camped before Magdalum.

Numbers 33:8

And they removed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

And journeying on from before Hahiroth, they went through the sea into the waste land: they went three days' journey through the waste land of Etham and put up their tents in Marah.

And departing from Phihahiroth, they passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and having marched three days through the desert of Etham, they camped in Mara.

Numbers 33:9

And they removed from Marah, and came to Elim; and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees, and they encamped there.

And from Marah they went on to Elim: and in Elim there were twelve water-springs and seventy palm-trees; and they put up their tents there.

And departing from Mara, they came into Elim, where there were twelve fountains of waters, and seventy palm trees: and there they camped.

Numbers 33:10

And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.

And they went on from Elim and put up their tents by the Red Sea.

But departing from thence also, they pitched their tents by the Red Sea. And departing from the Red Sea,

Numbers 33:11

And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

Then from the Red Sea they went on and put up their tents in the waste land of Sin.

They camped in the desert of Sin.

Numbers 33:12

And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

And they went on from the waste land of Sin, and put up their tents in Dophkah.

And they removed from thence, and came to Daphca.

Numbers 33:13

And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

And they went on from Dophkah, and put up their tents in Alush.

And departing from Daphca, they camped in Alus.

Numbers 33:14

And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

And they went on from Alush, and put up their tents in Rephidim, where there was no drinking-water for the people.

And departing from Alus, they pitched their tents in Raphidim, where the people wanted water to drink.

Numbers 33:15

And they removed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

And they went on from Rephidim, and put up their tents in the waste land of Sinai.

And departing from Raphidim, they camped in the desert of Sinai.

Numbers 33:16

And they removed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

And they went on from the waste land of Sinai and put up their tents in Kibroth-hattaavah.

But departing also from the desert of Sinai, they came to the graves of lust.

Numbers 33:17

And they removed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.

And they went on from Kibroth-hattaavah, and put up their tents in Hazeroth.

And departing from the graves of lust, they camped in Haseroth.

Numbers 33:18

And they removed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

And they went on from Hazeroth, and put up their tents in Rithmah.

And from Haseroth they came to Rethma.

Numbers 33:19

And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmon-perez.

And they went on from Rithmah, and put up their tents in Rimmon-perez.

And departing from Rethma, they camped in Remmomphares.

Numbers 33:20

And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

And they went on from Rimmon-perez, and put up their tents in Libnah.

And they departed from thence and came to Lebna.

Numbers 33:21

And they removed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah.

And they went on from Libnah, and put up their tents in Rissah.

Removing from Lebna they camped in Ressa.

Numbers 33:22

And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

And they went on from Rissah, and put up their tents in Kehelathah.

And departing from Ressa, they came to Ceelatha.

Numbers 33:23

And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.

And they went on from Kehelathah, and put up their tents in Mount Shepher.

And they removed from thence and camped in the mountain Sepher.

Numbers 33:24

And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.

And they went on from Mount Shepher, and put up their tents in Haradah.

Departing from the mountain Sepher, they came to Arada.

Numbers 33:25

And they removed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.

And they went on from Haradah, and put up their tents in Makheloth.

From thence they went and camped in Maceloth.

Numbers 33:26

And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.

And they went on from Makheloth, and put up their tents in Tahath.

And departing from Maceloth, they came to Thahath.

Numbers 33:27

And they removed from Tahath, and encamped at Terah.

And they went on from Tahath, and put up their tents in Terah.

Removing from Thahath they camped in Thare.

Numbers 33:28

And they removed from Terah, and encamped in Mithcah.

And they went on from Terah, and put up their tents in Mithkah.

And they departed from thence, and pitched their tents in Methca.

Numbers 33:29

And they removed from Mithcah, and encamped in Hashmonah.

And they went on from Mithkah, and put up their tents in Hashmonah.

And removing from Methca, they camped in Hesmona.

Numbers 33:30

And they removed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.

And they went on from Hashmonah, and put up their tents in Moseroth.

And departing from Hesmona, they came to Moseroth.

Numbers 33:31

And they removed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-Jaakan.

And they went on from Moseroth, and put up their tents in Bene-jaakan.

And removing from Moseroth, they camped in Benejaacan.

Numbers 33:32

And they removed from Bene-Jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad.

And they went on from Bene-jaakan, and put up their tents in Hor-haggidgad.

And departing from Benejaacan, they came to mount Gadgad.

Numbers 33:33

And they removed from Hor-hagidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.

And they went on from Hor-haggidgad, and put up their tents in Jotbathah.

From thence they went and camped in Jetebatha.

Numbers 33:34

And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Abronah.

And they went on from Jotbathah, and put up their tents in Abronah.

And from Jetebatha they came to Hebrona.

Numbers 33:35

And they removed from Abronah, and encamped at Ezion-geber.

And they went on from Abronah, and put up their tents in Ezion-geber.

And departing from Hebrona, they camped in Asiongaber.

Numbers 33:36

And they removed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

And they went on from Ezion-geber, and put up their tents in the waste land of Zin (which is Kadesh).

They removed from thence and came into the desert of Sin, which is Cades.

Numbers 33:37

And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the border of the land of Edom.

And they went on from Kadesh, and put up their tents in Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom.

And departing from Cades, they camped in mount Her, in the uttermost borders of the land of Edom.

Numbers 33:38

And Aaron the priest went up mount Hor by the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

And Aaron the priest went up into the mountain at the order of the Lord, and came to his death there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the Lord: and there he died in the fortieth year of the coming forth of the children of Israel out of Egypt, W the fifth month, the first day of the month,

Numbers 33:39

And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on mount Hor.

Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old at the time of his death in Mount Hor.

When he was a hundred and twenty-three years old.

Numbers 33:40

And the Canaanite, the king of Arad who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

And news of the coming of the children of Israel came to the king of Arad, the Canaanite, who was living in the South in the land of Canaan.

And king Arad the Chanaanite, who dwelt towards the south, heard that the children of Israel were come to the land of Chanaan.

Numbers 33:41

And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

And from Mount Hor they went on, and put up their tents in Zalmonah.

And they departed from mount Her, and camped in Salmona.

Numbers 33:42

And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

And they went on from Zalmonah, and put up their tents in Punon.

From whence they removed and came to Phunon.

Numbers 33:43

And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

And they went on from Punon, and put up their tents in Oboth.

And departing from Phunon, they camped in Oboth.

Numbers 33:44

And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in Ijim-Abarim, in the border of Moab.

And they went on from Oboth, and put up their tents in Iye-abarim at the edge of Moab.

And from Oboth they came to Ijeabarim, which is in the borders of the Moabites.

Numbers 33:45

And they removed from Ijim, and encamped in Dibon-Gad.

And they went on from Iyim, and put up their tents in Dibon-gad.

And departing from Ijeabarim they pitched their tents in Dibongab.

Numbers 33:46

And they removed from Dibon-Gad, and encamped in Almon-Diblathaim.

And from Dibon-gad they went on, and put up their tents in Almon-diblathaim.

From thence they went and camped in Helmondeblathaim.

Numbers 33:47

And they removed from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

And from Almon-diblathaim they went on, and put up their tents in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

And departing from Helmondeblathaim, they came to the mountains of Abarim over against Nabo.

Numbers 33:48

And they removed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.

And they went on from the mountains of Abarim, and put up their tents in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho;

And departing from the mountains of Abarim, they passed to the plains of Moab, by the Jordan, over against Jericho.

Numbers 33:49

And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.

Planting their tents by the side of Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the lowlands of Moab.

And there they camped from Bethsi moth even to Ablesatim in the plains of the Moabites,

Numbers 33:50

And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,

And in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho, the Lord said to Moses,

Where the Lord said to Moses:

Numbers 33:51

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over Jordan into the land of Canaan,

Say to the children of Israel, When you go over Jordan into the land of Canaan,

Command the children of Israel, and say to them: When you shall have passed over the Jordan, entering into the land of Chanaan,

Numbers 33:52

then ye shall dispossess all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their figured images, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and all their high places shall ye lay waste;

See that all the people of the land are forced out from before you, and put to destruction all their pictured stones, and all their metal images, and all their high places:

Destroy all the inhabitants of that land: beat down their pillars, and break in pieces their statues, and waste all their high places,

Numbers 33:53

and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein, for to you have I given the land to possess it.

And take the land for yourselves, for your resting-place: for to you I have given the land as your heritage.

Cleansing the land, and dwelling in it. For I have given it you for a possession.

Numbers 33:54

And ye shall take for yourselves the land as an inheritance by lot according to your families: to the many ye shall increase their inheritance, and to the few thou shalt diminish their inheritance: where the lot falleth to him, there shall be each man's [inheritance]; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye take for yourselves the inheritance.

And you will take up your heritage in the land by the decision of the Lord, to every family its part; the greater the family the greater its heritage, and the smaller the family the smaller will be its heritage; wherever the decision of the Lord gives to any man his part, that will be his; distribution will be made to you by your fathers' tribes.

And you shall divide it among you by lot. To the more you shall give a larger part, and to the fewer a lesser. To every one as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be given. The possession shall be divided by the tribes and the families.

Numbers 33:55

But if ye will not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, those that ye let remain of them shall be thorns in your eyes, and pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land wherein ye dwell.

But if you are slow in driving out the people of the land, then those of them who are still there will be like pin-points in your eyes and like thorns in your sides, troubling you in the land where you are living.

But if you will not kill the inhabitants of the land: they that remain, shall be unto you as nails in your eyes, and spears in your sides, and they shall be your adversaries in the land of your habitation.

Numbers 33:56

And it shall come to pass that I will do unto you as I thought to do unto them.

And it will come about that as it was my purpose to do to them, so I will do to you.

And whatsoever I had thought to do to them, I will do to you.
