Philippians 4:1 | So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in [the] Lord, beloved. | So my brothers, well loved and very dear to me, my joy and crown, be strong in the Lord, my loved ones. | Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren, and most desired, my joy and my crown; so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. |
Philippians 4:2 | I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in [the] Lord; | I make request to Euodias and Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. | I beg of Evodia, and I beseech Syntyche, to be of one mind in the Lord. |
Philippians 4:3 | yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life. | And I make request to you, true helper in my work, to see to the needs of those women who took part with me in the good news, with Clement and the rest of my brother-workers whose names are in the book of life. | And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. |
Philippians 4:4 | Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. | Be glad in the Lord at all times: again I say, Be glad. | Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice. |
Philippians 4:5 | Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord [is] near. | Let your gentle behaviour be clear to all men. The Lord is near. | Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh. |
Philippians 4:6 | Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; | Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God. | Be nothing solicitous; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. |
Philippians 4:7 | and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. | And the peace of God, which is deeper than all knowledge, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. | And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:8 | For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things. | For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things. | For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things. |
Philippians 4:9 | What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you. | The things which came to you by my teaching and preaching, and which you saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you. | The things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these do ye, and the God of peace shall be with you. |
Philippians 4:10 | But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity. | But I am very glad in the Lord that your care for me has come to life again; though you did in fact take thought for me, but you were not able to give effect to it. | Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied. |
Philippians 4:11 | Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me *I* have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself. | But I will not say anything about my needs, for I am able, wherever I am, to be dependent on myself. | I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith. |
Philippians 4:12 | I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation. | It is the same to me if I am looked down on or honoured; everywhere and in all things I have the secret of how to be full and how to go without food; how to have wealth and how to be in need. | I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: (everywhere, and in all things I am instructed) both to be full, and to be hungry; both to abound, and to suffer need. |
Philippians 4:13 | I have strength for all things in him that gives me power. | I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength. | I can do all these things in him who strengtheneth me. |
Philippians 4:14 | But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction. | But you did well to have care for me in my need. | Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation. |
Philippians 4:15 | And know also *ye*, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save *ye* alone; | And you have knowledge, Philippians, that when the good news first came to you, when I went away from Macedonia, no church took part with me in the business of giving to the saints, but you only; | And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only: |
Philippians 4:16 | for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need. | Because even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to me in my need. | For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use. |
Philippians 4:17 | Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account. | Not that I am looking for an offering, but for fruit which may be put to your credit. | Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account. |
Philippians 4:18 | But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God. | I have all things and more than enough: I am made full, having had from Epaphroditus the things which came from you, a perfume of a sweet smell, an offering well pleasing to God. | But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. |
Philippians 4:19 | But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. | And my God will give you all you have need of from the wealth of his glory in Christ Jesus. | And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:20 | But to our God and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen. | Now to God our Father be glory for ever and ever. So be it. | Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen. |
Philippians 4:21 | Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you. | Give words of love to every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their love. | Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:22 | All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar. | All the saints send their love to you, specially those who are of Caesar's house. | The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household. |
Philippians 4:23 | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. |
