| Joshua 9:1 | And it came to pass when all the kings who were on this side the Jordan, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and along all the coast of the great sea as far as opposite to Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard [of it], | Now on hearing the news of these things, all the kings on the west side of Jordan, in the hill-country and the lowlands and by the Great Sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, | It happened, when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it; |

| Joshua 9:23 | And now ye are cursed, and ye shall never cease to be bondmen, and hewers of wood, and drawers of water for the house of my God. | Now because of this you are cursed, and you will for ever be our servants, cutting wood and getting water for the house of my God. | Now therefore you are cursed, and there shall never fail to be of you bondservants, both wood cutters and drawers of water for the house of my God. |
| Joshua 9:24 | And they answered Joshua and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants how that Jehovah thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you; and we feared greatly for our lives because of you, and did this thing. | And, answering Joshua, they said, Because it came to the ears of your servants that the Lord your God had given orders to his servant Moses to give you all this land, and to send destruction on all the people living in it, because of you; so, fearing greatly for our lives because of you, we have done this. | They answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told your servants, how that Yahweh your God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you; therefore we were sore afraid for our lives because of you, and have done this thing. |
| Joshua 9:25 | And now behold, we are in thy hand: as it is good and right in thine eyes to do to us, do. | And now we are in your hands: do to us whatever seems good and right to you. | Now, behold, we are in your hand: as it seems good and right to you to do to us, do. |
| Joshua 9:26 | And he did so to them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, and they did not slay them. | So he kept them safe from the children of Israel, and did not let them be put to death. | So did he to them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they didn't kill them. |
