Romans 15:1 | But *we* ought, we that are strong, to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. | Now we that are stronger, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. | Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. |
Romans 15:2 | Let each one of us please his neighbour with a view to what is good, to edification. | Let every one of you please his neighbour unto good, to edification. | Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying. |
Romans 15:3 | For the Christ also did not please himself; but according as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me. | For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written: The reproaches of them that reproached thee, fell upon me. | For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me. |
Romans 15:4 | For as many things as have been written before have been written for our instruction, that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. | For what things soever were written, were written for our learning: that through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope. | For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope. |
Romans 15:5 | Now the God of endurance and of encouragement give to you to be like-minded one toward another, according to Christ Jesus; | Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of one mind one towards another, according to Jesus Christ: | Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus: |
Romans 15:6 | that ye may with one accord, with one mouth, glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. | That with one mind, and with one mouth, you may glorify God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. | that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Romans 15:7 | Wherefore receive ye one another, according as the Christ also has received you to [the] glory of God. | Wherefore receive one another, as Christ also hath received you unto the honour of God. | Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God. |
Romans 15:8 | For I say that Jesus Christ became a minister of [the] circumcision for [the] truth of God, to confirm the promises of the fathers; | For I say that Christ Jesus was minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers. | For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises [given] unto the fathers, |
Romans 15:9 | and that the nations should glorify God for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among [the] nations, and will sing to thy name. | But that the Gentiles are to glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: Therefore will I confess to thee, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and will sing to thy name. | and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name. |
Romans 15:10 | And again he says, Rejoice, nations, with his people. | And again he saith: Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. | And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. |
Romans 15:11 | And again, Praise the Lord, all [ye] nations, and let all the peoples laud him. | And again: Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all ye people. | And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him. |
Romans 15:12 | And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over [the] nations: in him shall [the] nations hope. | And again Isaias saith: There shall be a root of Jesse; and he that shall rise up to rule the Gentiles, in him the Gentiles shall hope. | And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope. |
Romans 15:13 | Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by [the] power of [the] Holy Spirit. | Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing; that you may abound in hope, and in the power of the Holy Ghost. | Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. |
Romans 15:14 | But I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. | And I myself also, my brethren, am assured of you, that you also are full of love, replenished with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another. | And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. |
Romans 15:15 | But I have written to you the more boldly, [brethren,] in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me by God, | But I have written to you, brethren, more boldly in some sort, as it were putting you in mind: because of the grace which is given me from God. | But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God, |
Romans 15:16 | for me to be minister of Christ Jesus to the nations, carrying on as a sacrificial service the [message of] glad tidings of God, in order that the offering up of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by [the] Holy Spirit. | That I should be the minister of Christ Jesus among the Gentiles; sanctifying the gospel of God, that the oblation of the Gentiles may be made acceptable and sanctified in the Holy Ghost. | that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. |
Romans 15:17 | I have therefore [whereof to] boast in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. | I have therefore glory in Christ Jesus towards God. | I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God. |
Romans 15:18 | For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for [the] obedience of [the] nations, by word and deed, | For I dare not to speak of any of those things which Christ worketh not by me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed, | For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed, |
Romans 15:19 | in [the] power of signs and wonders, in [the] power of [the] Spirit of God; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circuit round to Illyricum, have fully preached the glad tidings of the Christ; | By the virtue of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Ghost, so that from Jerusalem round about as far as unto Illyricum, I have replenished the gospel of Christ. | in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ; |
Romans 15:20 | and so aiming to announce the glad tidings, not where Christ has been named, that I might not build upon another's foundation; | And I have so preached this gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation. | yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation; |
Romans 15:21 | but according as it is written, To whom there was nothing told concerning him, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand. | But as it is written: They to whom he was not spoken of, shall see, and they that have not heard shall understand. | but, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand. |
Romans 15:22 | Wherefore also I have been often hindered from coming to you. | For which cause also I was hindered very much from coming to you, and have been kept away till now. | Wherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you: |
Romans 15:23 | But now, having no longer place in these regions, and having great desire to come to you these many years, | But now having no more place in these countries, and having a great desire these many years past to come unto you, | but now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you, |
Romans 15:24 | whenever I should go to Spain; (for I hope to see you as I go through, and by you to be set forward thither, if first I shall have been in part filled with your company;) | When I shall begin to take my journey into Spain, I hope that as I pass, I shall see you, and be brought on my way thither by you, if first, in part, I shall have enjoyed you: | whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)-- |
Romans 15:25 | but now I go to Jerusalem, ministering to the saints; | But now I shall go to Jerusalem, to minister unto the saints. | but now, I [say], I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints. |
Romans 15:26 | for Macedonia and Achaia have been well pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor of the saints who [are] in Jerusalem. | For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a contribution for the poor of the saints that are in Jerusalem. | For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem. |
Romans 15:27 | They have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them. | For it hath pleased them; and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they ought also in carnal things to minister to them. | Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things. |
Romans 15:28 | Having finished this therefore, and having sealed to them this fruit, I will set off by you into Spain. | When therefore I shall have accomplished this, and consigned to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. | When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain. |
Romans 15:29 | But I know that, coming to you, I shall come in [the] fulness of [the] blessing of Christ. | And I know, that when I come to you, I shall come in the abundance of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. | And I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ. |
Romans 15:30 | But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers for me to God; | I beseech you therefore, brethren, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Holy Ghost, that you help me in your prayers for me to God, | Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; |
Romans 15:31 | that I may be saved from those that do not believe in Judaea; and that my ministry which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints; | That I may be delivered from the unbelievers that are in Judea, and that the oblation of my service may be acceptable in Jerusalem to the saints. | that I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and [that] my ministration which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints; |
Romans 15:32 | in order that I may come to you in joy by God's will, and that I may be refreshed with you. | That I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed with you. | that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest. |
Romans 15:33 | And the God of peace be with you all. Amen. | Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. | Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. |
