2nd-Samuel 6:1And David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.And David got together all the fighting-men of Israel to the number of thirty thousand;
2nd-Samuel 6:2And David arose and went with all the people that were with him from Baale-Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God which is called by the name, the name of Jehovah of hosts who sitteth between the cherubim.And David arose and went, with all the people that were with him of the men of Juda to fetch the ark of God, upon which the name of the Lord of hosts is invoked, who sitteth over it upon the cherubims.And David, and all the people who were with him, went to Baal of Judah to get the ark of God, over which the holy name is named, the name of the Lord of armies, whose place is between the winged ones.
2nd-Samuel 6:3And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was upon the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.And they laid the ark of God upon a new cart: and took it out of the house of Abinadab, who was in Gabaa: and Oza, and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.And they put the ark of God on a new cart and took it out of the house of Abinadab which was on the hill: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were the drivers of the cart.
2nd-Samuel 6:4And they brought it with the ark of God out of the house of Abinadab which was upon the hill; and Ahio went before the ark.And when they had taken it out of the house of Abinadab, who was in Gabaa, Ahio having care of the ark of God went before the ark.And Uzzah went by the side of the ark, while Ahio went before it.
2nd-Samuel 6:5And David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah on all manner of [instruments made of] cypress wood, with harps, and with lutes, and with tambours, and with sistra, and with cymbals.But David and all Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of wood, on harps and lutes and timbrels and cornets and cymbals.And David and all the men of Israel made melody before the Lord with all their power, with songs and with corded instruments and instruments of brass.
2nd-Samuel 6:6And when they came to Nachon's threshing-floor, Uzzah reached after the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen had stumbled.And when they came to the floor of Nachon, Oza put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it: because the oxen kicked and made it lean aside.And when they came to Nacon's grain-floor, Uzzah put his hand on the ark of God to keep it safe in its place, for the oxen were out of control.
2nd-Samuel 6:7And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.And the indignation of the Lord was enkindled against Oza, and he struck him for his rashness: and he died there before the ark of God.And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzzah, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there by the ark of God.
2nd-Samuel 6:8And David was indignant, because Jehovah had made a breach upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-Uzzah to this day.And David was grieved because the Lord had struck Oza, and the name of that place was called: The striking of Oza, to this day.And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzzah: and he gave that place the name Perez-uzzah, which is its name to this day.
2nd-Samuel 6:9And David was afraid of Jehovah that day, and said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come to me?And David was afraid of the Lord that day, saying: How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?And such was David's fear of the Lord that day, that he said, How may I let the ark of God come to me?
2nd-Samuel 6:10So David would not bring the ark of Jehovah home unto himself into the city of David; but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.And he would not have the ark of the Lord brought in to himself into the city of David: but he caused it to be carried into the house of Obededom the Gethite.So David did not let the ark of the Lord come back to him to the town of David: but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
2nd-Samuel 6:11And the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months; and Jehovah blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.And the ark of the Lord abode in the house of Obededom the Gethite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.And the ark of the Lord was in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months: and the Lord sent a blessing on Obed-edom and all his family.
2nd-Samuel 6:12And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that is his, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom into the city of David with joy.And it was told king David, that the Lord had blessed Obededom, and all that he had, because of the ark of God. So David went, and brought away the ark of God out of the house of Obededom into the city of David with joy. And there were with David seven choirs, and calves for victims.And they said to King David, The blessing of the Lord is on the family of Obed-edom and on all he has, because of the ark of God. And David went and took the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the town of David with joy.
2nd-Samuel 6:13And it was so, that when they that bore the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatted beast.And when they that carried the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a ram:And when those who were lifting the ark of the Lord had gone six steps, he made an offering of an ox and a fat young beast.
2nd-Samuel 6:14And David danced before Jehovah with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.And David danced with all his might before the Lord: and David was girded with a linen ephod.And David, clothed in a linen ephod, was dancing before the Lord with all his strength.
2nd-Samuel 6:15And David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.And David and all the house of Israel brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord with joyful shouting, and with sound of trumpet.So David and all the men of Israel took up the ark of the Lord with cries of joy and sounding of horns.
2nd-Samuel 6:16And as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah; and she despised him in her heart.And when the ark of the Lord was come into the city of David, Michol the daughter of Saul, looking out through a window, saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord: and she despised him in her heart.And when the ark of the Lord came into the town of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looking out of the window, saw King David dancing and jumping before the Lord; and to her mind he seemed foolish.
2nd-Samuel 6:17And they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had spread for it. And David offered up burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Jehovah.And they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it: and David offered holocausts, and peace offerings before the Lord.And they took in the ark of the Lord, and put it in its place inside the tent which David had put up for it: and David made burned offerings and peace-offerings to the Lord.
2nd-Samuel 6:18And when David had ended offering up the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah of hosts.And when he had made an end of offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.And after David had made the burned offerings and the peace-offerings, he gave the people a blessing in the name of the Lord of armies.
2nd-Samuel 6:19And he dealt to all the people, to the whole multitude of Israel, both men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a measure [of wine], and a raisin-cake. And all the people departed every one to his house.And he distributed to all the multitude of Israel both men and women, to every one, a cake of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and fine flour fried with oil: and all the people departed every one to his house.And he gave to every man and woman among all the people, among all the masses of Israel, a cake of bread and a measure of wine and a cake of dry grapes. Then all the people went away, every man to his house.
2nd-Samuel 6:20And David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How honourable did the king of Israel make himself to-day, who uncovered himself to-day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the lewd fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!And David returned to bless his own house: and Michol the daughter of Saul coming out to meet David, said: How glorious was the king of Israel to day, uncovering himself before the handmaids of his servants, and was naked, as if one of the buffoons should be naked.Then David came back to give a blessing to his family. And Michal, Saul's daughter, came out to him and said, How full of glory was the king of Israel today, who let himself be seen uncovered by his servant-girls like a foolish person uncovering himself without shame!
2nd-Samuel 6:21And David said to Michal, It was before Jehovah, who chose me rather than thy father, and than all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of Jehovah, over Israel; and I played before Jehovah.And David said to Michol: Before the Lord, who chose me rather than thy father, and than all his house, and commanded me to be ruler over the people of the Lord in Israel,And David said to Michal, I was dancing before the Lord, who put me over your father and all his sons, to make me a ruler over the people of the Lord, over his people Israel: and I will go on playing before the Lord;
2nd-Samuel 6:22And I will make myself yet more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight; and of the handmaids that thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.I will both play and make myself meaner than I have done: and I will be little in my own eyes: and with the handmaid of whom thou speakest, I shall appear more glorious.And I will do even worse than this, and make myself even lower in your eyes: but the servant-girls of whom you were talking will give me honour.
2nd-Samuel 6:23And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.Therefore Michol the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.And Michal, Saul's daughter, had no child till the day of her death.
