Mark 11:1And when they draw near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples,And when they were drawing near to Jerusalem and to Bethania at the mount of Olives, he sendeth two of his disciples,And when they came near to Jerusalem, to Beth-phage and Bethany, at the Mountain of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
Mark 11:2and says to them, Go into the village which is over against you, and immediately on entering into it ye will find a colt tied, upon which no [child] of man has ever sat: loose it and lead it [here].And saith to them: Go into the village that is over against you, and immediately at your coming in thither, you shall find a colt tied, upon which no man yet hath sat: loose him, and bring him.And said to them, Go into the little town opposite: and when you come to it, you will see a young ass with a cord round his neck, on which no man has ever been seated; let him loose, and come back with him.
Mark 11:3And if any one say to you, Why do ye this? say, The Lord has need of it; and straightway he sends it hither.And if any man shall say to you, What are you doing? say ye that the Lord hath need of him: and immediately he will let him come hither.And if anyone says to you, Why are you doing this? say, The Lord has need of him and will send him back straight away.
Mark 11:4And they departed, and found a colt bound to the door without at the crossway, and they loose him.And going their way, they found the colt tied before the gate without, in the meeting of two ways: and they loose him.And they went away and saw a young ass by the door outside in the open street; and they were getting him loose.
Mark 11:5And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt?And some of them that stood there, said to them: What do you loosing the colt?And some of those who were there said to them, What are you doing, taking the ass?
Mark 11:6And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them [do it].Who said to them as Jesus had commanded them; and they let him go with them.And they said to them the words which Jesus had said; and they let them go.
Mark 11:7And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;And they brought the colt to Jesus; and they lay their garments on him, and he sat upon him.And they took the young ass to Jesus, and put their clothing on him, and he got on his back.
Mark 11:8and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees [and went on strewing them on the way].And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down boughs from the trees, and strewed them in the way.And a great number put down their clothing in the way; and others put down branches which they had taken from the fields.
Mark 11:9And those going on before and those following cried out, Hosanna! blessed [be] he that comes in [the] Lord's name.And they that went before and they that followed, cried, saying: Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.And those who went in front, and those who came after, were crying, Glory: A blessing on him who comes in the name of the Lord:
Mark 11:10Blessed [be] the coming kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest!Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.A blessing on the coming kingdom of our father David: Glory in the highest.
Mark 11:11And he entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and having looked round on all things, the hour being already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple: and having viewed all things round about, when now the eventide was come, he went out to Bethania with the twelve.And he went into Jerusalem into the Temple; and after looking round about on all things, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
Mark 11:12And on the morrow, when they were gone out of Bethany, he hungered.And the next day when they came out from Bethania, he was hungry.And on the day after, when they had come out from Bethany, he was in need of food.
Mark 11:13And seeing from afar off a fig-tree which had leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find something on it. And having come up to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the time of figs.And when he had seen afar off a fig tree having leaves, he came if perhaps he might find any thing on it. And when he was come to it, he found nothing but leaves. For it was not the time for figs.And seeing a fig-tree in the distance with leaves, he went to see if by chance it had anything on it: and when he came to it, he saw nothing but leaves, for it was not the time for the fruit.
Mark 11:14And answering he said to it, Let no one eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard [it].And answering he said to it: May no man hereafter eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard it.And he said to it, Let no man take fruit from you for ever. And his disciples took note of his words.
Mark 11:15And they come to Jerusalem, and entering into the temple, he began to cast out those who sold and who bought in the temple, and he overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of the dove-sellers,And they came to Jerusalem. And when he was entered into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the chairs of them that sold doves.And they came to Jerusalem; and he went into the Temple, and sent out those who were trading there, overturning the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who were offering doves for money;
Mark 11:16and suffered not that any one should carry any package through the temple.And he suffered not that any man should carry a vessel through the temple;And he would not let any man take a vessel through the Temple.
Mark 11:17And he taught saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but *ye* have made it a den of robbers.And he taught, saying to them: Is it not written, My house shall be called the house of prayer to all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves.And he gave them teaching, and said to them, Is it not in the Writings, My house is to be named a house of prayer for all the nations? but you have made it a hole of thieves.
Mark 11:18And the chief priests and the scribes heard [it], and they sought how they might destroy him; for they feared him, because all the crowd were astonished at his doctrine.Which when the chief priests and the scribes had heard, they sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because the whole multitude was in admiration at his doctrine.And it came to the ears of the chief priests and scribes, and they took thought how they might put him to death; being in fear of him, because all the people were full of wonder at his teaching.
Mark 11:19And when it was evening he went forth without the city.And when evening was come, he went forth out of the city.And every evening he went out of the town.
Mark 11:20And passing by early in the morning they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots.And when they passed by in the morning they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.And when they were going by in the morning, they saw the fig-tree dead from the roots.
Mark 11:21And Peter, remembering [what Jesus had said], says to him, Rabbi, see, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up.And Peter remembering, said to him: Rabbi, behold the fig tree, which thou didst curse, is withered away.And Peter, having a memory of it, said to him, Master, see, the tree which was cursed by you is dead.
Mark 11:22And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God.And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God.And Jesus, answering, said to them, Have God's faith.
Mark 11:23Verily I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken away and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says takes place, whatever he shall say shall come to pass for him.Amen I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not stagger in his heart, but believe, that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him.Truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and be put into the sea; and has no doubt in his heart, but has faith that what he says will come about, he will have his desire.
Mark 11:24For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you.Therefore I say unto you, all things, whatsoever you ask when ye pray, believe that you shall receive; and they shall come unto you.For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it.
Mark 11:25And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences.And when you shall stand to pray, forgive, if you have aught against any man; that your Father also, who is in heaven, may forgive you your sins.And whenever you make a prayer, let there be forgiveness in your hearts, if you have anything against anyone; so that you may have forgiveness for your sins from your Father who is in heaven.
Mark 11:26But if *ye* do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your offences.But if you will not forgive, neither will your Father that is in heaven, forgive you your sins.[]
Mark 11:27And they come again to Jerusalem. And as he walked about in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to him,And they come again to Jerusalem. And when he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests and the scribes and the ancients,And they came again to Jerusalem: and while he was walking in the Temple, there came to him the chief priests and the scribes and those in authority:
Mark 11:28and they say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority, that thou shouldest do these things?And they say to him: By what authority dost thou these things? and who hath given thee this authority that thou shouldst do these things?And they said to him, By what authority do you do these things? or who gave you authority to do these things?
Mark 11:29And Jesus answering said to them, *I* also will ask you one thing, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:And Jesus answering, said to them: I will also ask you one word, and answer you me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.And Jesus said to them, I will put to you one question; give me an answer, and I will say by what authority I do these things.
Mark 11:30The baptism of John, was it of heaven, or of men? answer me.The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me.The baptism of John, was it from heaven or from men? give me an answer.
Mark 11:31And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we should say, Of heaven, he will say, Why [then] have ye not believed him?But they thought with themselves, saying: If we say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?And they gave thought to it among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not have faith in him?
Mark 11:32but should we say, Of men they feared the people; for all held of John that he was truly a prophet.If we say, From men, we fear the people. For all men counted John that he was a prophet indeed.But if we say, From men they were in fear of the people, because all took John to be truly a prophet.
Mark 11:33And they answering say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus [answering] says to them, Neither do *I* tell you by what authority I do these things.And they answering, say to Jesus: We know not. And Jesus answering, saith to them: Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.And they said in answer to Jesus, We have no idea. And Jesus said to them, And I will not say to you by what authority I do these things.
