Or who is giving you this authority?" |
Luke 20:3 | And he answering said to them, *I* also will ask you [one] thing, and tell me: | And Jesus answering, said to them: I will also ask you one thing. Answer me: | He answered them, "I also will ask you one question. Tell me: |

Who, beating him, sent him away empty. | At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty. |
Luke 20:11 | And again he sent another bondman; but they, having beaten him also, and cast insult upon him, sent [him] away empty. | And again he sent another servant. Come, let's kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.' |

And when they heard it they said, May it never be! | He will come, and will destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. Luke 20:36 | for neither can they die any more, for they are equal to angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. | Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. | For neither can they die any more, for they are like the angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. |
Luke 20:37 | But that the dead rise, even Moses shewed in [the section of] the bush, when he called [the] Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob; | Now that the dead rise again, Moses also shewed, at the bush, when he called the Lord, The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; | But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord 'The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' |
