Hosea 8:1Set the trumpet to thy mouth. [He cometh] as an eagle against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant, and rebelled against my law.Let there be a trumpet in thy throat like an eagle upon the house of the Lord: because they have transgressed my covenant, and have violated my law.`Unto thy mouth a trumpet, As an eagle against the house of Jehovah, Because they transgressed My covenant, And against My law they have rebelled.

Hosea 8:4They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, and I knew it not; of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. They have reigned, but not by me: they have been princes, and I knew not: of their silver, and their gold they have made idols to themselves, that they might perish. They have made kings, and not by Me, They have made princes, and I have not known, Their silver and their gold they have made to them idols, So that they are cut off.
Hosea 8:5Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast [thee] off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will they be incapable of purity?Thy calf, O Samaria, is cast off, my wrath is kindled against them. How long will they be incapable of being cleansed ?Cast off hath thy calf, O Samaria, Burned hath Mine anger against them, Till when are they not capable of purity?
Hosea 8:6For from Israel is this also: a workman made it, and it is no God: for the calf of Samaria shall be [broken in] pieces. For itself also is the invention of Israel: a workman made it, and it is no god: for the calf of Samaria shall be turned to spiders' webs. For even it [is] of Israel; an artificer made it, And it [is] not God, For the calf of Samaria is fragments!
Hosea 8:7For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; should it sprout, it would yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.For they shall sow wind, and reap a whirlwind, there is no standing stalk in it, the bud shall yield no meal; end if it should yield, strangers shall eat it.For wind they sow, and a hurricane they reap, Stalk it hath none a shoot not yielding grain, If so be it yield strangers do swallow it up.
Hosea 8:8Israel is swallowed up: now are they become among the nations as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.Israel is swallowed up: now is he become among the nations like an unclean vessel.Israel hath been swallowed up, Now they have been among nations, As a vessel in which is no delight.

Hosea 8:10Although they hire among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall begin to be straitened under the burden of the king of princes. But even though they shall have hired the nations, now will I gather them together: and they shall rest a while from the burden of the king, and the princes. Also though they hire among nations, Now I gather them, and they are pained a little, From the burden of a king of princes.
Hosea 8:11Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin: altars are become to him unto sin.Because Ephraim did multiply altars to sin, They have been to him altars to sin.

Hosea 8:13They sacrifice flesh [for] the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; Jehovah hath no delight in them. Now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt. They shall offer victims, they shall sacrifice flesh, and shall eat it, and the Lord will not receive them: now will he remember their iniquity, and will visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt. The sacrifices of Mine offerings!
