And while in their company He charged them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father's promised gift. "This you have heard of," He said, "from me.
Acts 1:5For John indeed baptised with water, but *ye* shall be baptised with the Holy Spirit after now not many days.For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. For John indeed baptized with water, but before many days have passed you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
Acts 1:6They therefore, being come together, asked him saying, Lord, is it at this time that thou restorest the kingdom to Israel?When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? Once when they were with Him, they asked Him, "Master, is this the time at which you are about to restore the kingdom of Israel?"
Acts 1:7And he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father has placed in his own authority;And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. "It is not for you," He replied, "to know times or epochs which the Father has reserved within His own authority;
Acts 1:8but ye will receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. and yet you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and Samaria and to the remotest parts of the earth."

This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall thus come in the manner in which ye have beheld him going into heaven.Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. who said, "Galilaeans, why stand looking into the sky?
