| Luke 7:1 | And when he had completed all his words in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum. | Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. | After He had finished teaching all these things in the hearing of the people, He went into Capernaum. |
| Luke 7:2 | And a certain centurion's bondman who was dear to him was ill and about to die; | And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. | Here the servant of a certain Captain, a man dear to his master, was ill and at the point of death; |
| Luke 7:3 | and having heard of Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, begging him that he might come and save his bondman. | And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. | and the Captain, hearing about Jesus, sent to Him some of the Jewish Elders, begging Him to come and restore his servant to health. |

| Luke 7:9 | And Jesus hearing this wondered at him, and turning to the crowd following him said, I say to you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith. | When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. | Jesus listened to the Captain's message and was astonished at him, and He turned and said to the crowd that followed Him, "I tell you that not even in Israel have I found faith like that." |

| Luke 7:16 | And fear seized on all, and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has been raised up amongst us; and God has visited his people. | And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. | All were awe-struck, and they gave glory to God some saying, "A Prophet, a great Prophet, has risen up among us." Others said, "God has not forgotten His People." |

"Are you the Coming One?" he asked, "or is there another that we are to expect?" |
| Luke 7:20 | But the men having come to him said, John the baptist has sent us to thee, saying, Art *thou* he that is coming, or are we to wait for another? | When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? | The men came to Jesus and said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you with this question: `Are you the Coming One, or is there another that we are to expect?'" |
| Luke 7:21 | In that hour he healed many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and to many blind he granted sight. | And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. | He immediately cured many of diseases, severe pain, and evil spirits, and to many who were blind He gave the gift of sight. |
| Luke 7:22 | And Jesus answering said to them, Go, bring back word to John of what ye have seen and heard: that blind see, lame walk, lepers are cleansed, deaf hear, dead are raised, poor are evangelized; | Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. | Then He answered the messengers, "Go and report to John what you have seen and heard. Blind men receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are purified, deaf persons hear, the dead are raised to life, the poor have the Good News proclaimed to them. |

Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. | But what did you go out to see? A man wearing luxurious clothes? People who are gorgeously dressed and live in luxury are found in palaces. |

| Luke 7:39 | And the Pharisee who had invited him, seeing it, spoke with himself saying, This [person] if he were a prophet would have known who and what the woman is who touches him, for she is a sinner. | Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. | Noticing this, the Pharisee, His host, said to himself, "This man, if he were really a Prophet, would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching him and would know that she is an immoral woman." |

And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. | "I suppose," replied Simon, "the one to whom he forgave most." "You have judged rightly," Jesus rejoined. |

I entered into thy house; thou gavest me not water on my feet, but *she* has washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with her hair. | And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. | Then turning towards the woman He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman?
